President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about a meeting regarding the overall situation in the Middle East and the replacement of the commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians,

Today was a very busy day. Various meetings, among which particularly important were those concerning the new international situation.

I held a meeting with our intelligence leaders, SBU and foreign intelligence services, as well as our diplomats regarding the situation in Israel and around it and the overall situation in the Middle East.

This is of fundamental importance to us — not only for Ukraine but also for all of Europe.

According to available information — very clear — Russia is interested in igniting a war in the Middle East, so that a new source of pain and suffering would weaken global unity, add divisions and conflicts, thereby helping Russia destroy freedom in Europe. We see how Russian propagandists are being provoked. We see how Iran's friends of Moscow openly offer support to those who attacked Israel. And all this — is a much greater threat than the world currently perceives. World wars of the past unfolded from local aggressions.

We know how to counter this threat.

We are preparing appropriate steps. The most important thing — we defend the necessity of maximum global unity.

Today I addressed participants of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. First and foremost about unity. About how every country in the world now needs to choose how it will protect international law. Protect it! And not stand aside when terror tries to take over, and another region of the world may crumble before our eyes.

I am grateful to all leaders and countries that are currently fully aware of the danger and are ready to work together to keep the situation in check. To prevent obvious sponsors of terrorism from wider involvement.

Today I also held a meeting with Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk. Coordination of positions for the coming weeks.

Also, I held a meeting with Vice Prime Minister Fedorov, Minister of Education and Science Lesiv, and the ministry team. Working issues.

One more thing.

I held a replacement for the commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In place of Ihor Tantsurya, Anatoliy Bargilevich has been appointed as commander. The main task — development of the Territorial Defense Forces must not stop.
