Today, the Ukraine U-19 national team (players born in or after 2005) begins its gathering in South Korea, which will last until October 15. During this period, they will participate in an international tournament.
The day before the gathering, head coach Oleg Kuznetsov answered questions from the official website of the UAF.
— Oleh Volodymyrovych, what goals are you pursuing at this gathering?
— We last gathered a year and a half ago, so it's extremely important before starting the qualifying round of the European Championship to see how the team looks and get acquainted with newcomers.
— The list does not include representatives of 'Shakhtar'...
— Unfortunately, there will be no candidates from Donetsk club on this gathering who participated in the UEFA Youth League match. They simply did not have time to arrive physically. Despite this, they are still within our sights and will be included in the national team lineup before the start of Euro qualification.
— The Ukraine national team will play against teams from South Korea, Vietnam, and Morocco. What do you know about your opponents?
— We have practically no information — just match statistics, goals, and squad composition. I hope that video materials regarding South Korea, with whom we will play our first game at the tournament, will be available to us right on site. As for Vietnam and Morocco, we will get a look during the matches.
