Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on September 24, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred and seventy-eighth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

Russian occupiers continue to ignore international humanitarian law, not only shelling Ukrainian positions but also civilian infrastructure in populated areas, terrorizing peaceful residents. Thus, yesterday, the Russian Federation carried out another strike on Ukraine with kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. As a result of anti-aircraft defense operations, 14 out of 15 "Shaheds" were destroyed.

Forces defending Ukraine continue to conduct defensive operations in eastern and southern Ukraine, an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, consolidating at achieved lines.

Over 20 combat engagements took place during the past day. The enemy carried out five missile strikes and 57 air attacks, conducted 38 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers both against our positions and civilian objects of our state. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there were casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure suffered damage.

Air strikes hit Synekivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka in Kharkiv region; Nevske, Bihorivka in Luhansk region; Serednyanka, Spirene, Vesele, Klyschyivka, Andriyivka, Avdiivka, Mariinka, Vuhledar, Urozhayne, Staromayskoye in Donetsk region; Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya region; Berislav, Cossack, Mykolayivka, Olhyvka, Lvov, Nadnipryanske, Antonivka in Kherson region.

Over 70 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Severnaya and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas. Conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Hortytsya" on the Lyman direction, forces defending successfully repelled enemy attacks near Bihorivka, Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy attempted to restore lost positions in the area of Klyschyivka, Donetsk region, but was unsuccessful. Forces defending continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating at achieved lines.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, forces defending successfully hold their positions, repelling enemy attacks near Avdiivka, Donetsk region.

On the Mariinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Mariinka and Pobedy, Donetsk region, where over 10 failed attempts were made to drive our units from occupied positions during the past day.

On the Shakhtarsky direction, our defenders continue to hold their positions, protecting our land from occupiers.

On the Melitopol direction, forces defending continue offensive operations. In particular, in the area of Verbovaya, Zaporizhzhya region, they are driving out the enemy from occupied positions and consolidating at achieved lines.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, forces defending conduct counter-battery battles, destroying supply points and successfully targeting the rear of the enemy.

During the past day, aviation of the forces defending carried out nine strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, seven — on air defense missile systems of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops destroyed one area of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one air defense missile system, eight artillery systems, and one radar station of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day amounted to: 390 occupiers, seven tanks, two armored combat vehicles, 23 artillery systems, one anti-aircraft weapon, 21 tactical drones, 18 vehicles and two units of special equipment.
