The day before, under Yuri Klimenko's guidance, the team lost to Portugal in overtime (2:3) and failed to secure a spot in the semifinals of prestigious tournaments. Now, the Ukrainians are fighting for 5th-8th place, and their first opponent was the Netherlands, whom they had previously lost to in the group stage (2:2).
