Note to attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10.00 on September 15, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred and sixty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

Forces of the Ukrainian Defense continue to conduct defensive operations in eastern and southern Ukraine, as well as an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, consolidating at achieved lines.

During the past day, 25 combat engagements took place. The enemy carried out two missile strikes and 59 air raids, conducted 56 artillery attacks on both our military positions and civilian objects of our country. Yesterday, occupiers attacked Ukraine with 22 kamikaze drones of Shahed-136/131 type, of which 17 were destroyed by Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense means. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population. Port infrastructure, private residential buildings and other civil infrastructure suffered damage.

Air raids hit populated areas of Strilechya, Plytenivka, Stepanova Novoselivka, Kotlyarivka in Kharkiv region; Nadia, Novoyegorivka in Luhansk region; Klichyivka, Krasnogorivka, Vodyane, Perechystivka, Novomayorske, Urozhaye, Starymayorske in Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in Zaporizhia region.

Artillery fire affected nearly 100 populated areas in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «North» on Volyn and Polesie directions, the situation remains unchanged.

In the North-Eastern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy continues to maintain covering forces along the state border, conducts active sabotage activities in border areas with the aim of preventing our troops from moving into threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Khortytsia» on Bakhmut direction, the enemy does not give up attempts to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Bogdanivka area. In turn, the Defense Forces had partial success near Klichyivka during offensive operations. During storming actions, they succeeded and seized Andriyivka in Donetsk region, inflicting significant losses on enemy personnel and equipment, consolidating at achieved lines.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Tavria» on Avdiivsky and Mariupol directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Lastochkino and Avdiivka in Donetsk region. During the past day, the enemy made nearly 10 unsuccessful attempts to drive our units from occupied positions there. In addition, all attacks by the enemy in the area of Mariupol in Donetsk region turned out to be significant losses for occupiers both in manpower and equipment.

On Shakhtarsky direction, Ukrainian warriors maintain initiative, press on the enemy, conduct storming actions and liberate our land.

On Melitopol direction, Defense Forces continue offensive operations in the area of Verbovaya in Zaporizhia region, inflicting significant losses on occupant troops in manpower and equipment.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Odessa» on Kherson direction, Defense Forces continue to conduct counter-battery battles, destroy supply depots and inflict successful damage on enemy rear areas.

In temporarily occupied Makieyevka in Donetsk region, the occupation administration approved lists of conscription for one of the subunits of Kirov mine, which ensures its operation.

Conscription does not apply to drivers and part of the administrative staff of the mine. At the same time, an order from the occupation military board was received by the enterprise management regarding the use of technical capabilities of the enterprise for repairing damaged equipment of Russian occupant troops. It is also known that employees of the mine have not been paid wages for more than three months and are not accrued or paid additional monetary bonuses.

During the past day, aviation of Defense Forces carried out 10 strikes on areas with enemy personnel concentration, weapons, and military equipment.

Subunits of rocket forces, artillery, and unmanned systems hit an enemy command post, three anti-aircraft missile complexes, five artillery pieces, and an ammunition depot of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day totaled: 470 occupiers, 13 tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 28 artillery systems, five MLRS, four air defense means, 17 tactical drones and 34 vehicles.
