President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about a meeting with our country's Minister of Defense and good results in our cooperation with the International Criminal Court.

A few main things today.

For the first time today, our country celebrated Tankers' Day. Previously, it was a Soviet professional holiday for tank forces. And now it is not just about giving these days a Ukrainian meaning, but also about the specific results of Ukrainian warriors that deserve to be honored at the national level.

Honored our tank soldiers with state awards. Soldiers, sergeants, officers. Our bravest fighters! With Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Orders of "For Courage," and Medals of "For Military Service to Ukraine." Two soldiers—Sergeant Vladyslav Simak and Senior Sergeant Oleh Palamarchuk—received the "Crosses of Combat Merit" for their bravery and effectiveness. Thank you, boys! I thank all Ukrainian tankers! And it is very important that our tank forces are constantly progressing—they learn and apply increasingly advanced and modern tanks in combat. There will be Abrams under Ukrainian banners as well—we continuously add strength to our warriors.

Held a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, discussed some key issues. The decisions that all of our society generally and Ukrainian soldiers specifically expect from the Ministry of Defense. The minister will present them once all details are finalized. Today I also highlighted Rustem Umerov's work with the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Lubynets, regarding this new institution, the military ombudsman. This is truly necessary. It is necessary to have a strong system for protecting soldiers' rights within the defense sector.

Met today with representatives of the Ukrainian Jewish community—rabbis from various cities in Ukraine, and our soldiers. A very warm meeting ahead of Rosh Hashanah. It's important that all communities in Ukraine are united by the goal of defending Ukraine and ensuring normal life for all our people. Honored warriors with state awards—Orders of "For Courage." Thanked representatives of religious organizations for being here in Ukraine, supporting people, supporting the country, and to the entire Jewish community around the world—I am telling the truth about Russia's aggression and terror.

There is a good result today in our cooperation with the International Criminal Court. A result that brings us closer to holding Russian war criminals accountable. The field office of the International Criminal Court has been established in Ukraine, which is the largest representation of the court outside The Hague. And it's very good that there is full and coordinated cooperation between the office of the prosecutor general, all Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, and the International Criminal Court. Such cooperation helps us approach the moment of restoring justice for Ukraine and all our people who suffered from this war—the moment when legal and deserved verdicts are handed down to Russian criminals.

One more thing. There is reason to separately highlight the Security Service of Ukraine—its entire staff—and our military-naval forces. I thank you for today's triumph—we destroyed the occupiers' air defense system on our Crimean land. Very significant, well done! Glory to all who fight for Ukraine!
