Note for the attention - operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 5, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred and fifty-ninth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our country has begun.

During the day, the enemy carried out six rocket and 76 air strikes, conducted 60 artillery attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, has been damaged.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

During the day, 29 combat engagements took place.

On the Volynian and Polissian fronts, the operational situation - without significant changes.

On the Northern and Slobodskiy fronts, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 20 populated areas. Among them are Buchky, Karpyvychi, Progress in Chernihiv Oblast; Druzhba, Sitne, Nova Huta, Romashkove, Bugor, Malushyne in Sumy Oblast, and Udi, Vovchanske, Vovchanskoye Hutora, Gatishe, Ogireve, Vilkhuvatka and Terneva in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk Front, the enemy carried out an air strike near Budarok in Kharkiv Oblast. Over 15 populated areas were shelled by artillery, including Figolivka, Berezhovoye, Dvorichna, Kindrashivka, Synkivka, Pishchane and Kislivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman Front, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Novyegorivka and Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast. Carried out air strikes in the areas of Bihorivka, Yamopolivka and Spirne in Donetsk Oblast. Over 15 populated areas were shelled by artillery, including Nevskiy, Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Spirne, Rozdolyovka, Serrebyanka, Verkhnyokamyanske, Veselye and Pereyeznoye in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut Front, our defenders continue to conduct offensive actions south of the city of Bakhmut, consolidating on the achieved lines. Successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops near Klyshchyvka in Donetsk Oblast. The enemy carried out an air strike near Ivanivskoye in Donetsk Oblast. Over 15 populated areas were shelled by artillery, including Minkivka, Vasyukivka, Bogdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Pivnichne, Druzhba and New York in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiyivka Front, the enemy carried out an air strike near Avdiyivka. The enemy continues to carry out artillery and mortar shelling of populated areas. Among them are Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Keramik, Avdiyivka, Severne, Nevelske and Pereymaysk in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol Front, the forces of defense continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops near Mariupol. The enemy carried out an air strike near Krasnogorivka. Artillery shelling was suffered by populated areas such as Krasnogorivka, Mariupol, Maximilianske, Gostre and Novomikhailovka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk Front, the enemy carried out air strikes near Vuhledar, Vodyane, Preshchystivka, Zolotoye Niva and Urozhaynoe. Over 10 populated areas were shelled by artillery, including Vuhledar, Vodyane, Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Preshchystivka, Velika Nosylovka and Urozhaynoe in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya Front, the enemy carried out air strikes near Mala Tokmakha, Novodanylivka, Orilivka, Preobrazhenka, Robotino and Stebnogirsk in Zaporizhzhya Oblast. Over 20 populated areas were shelled by artillery, including Novodarivka, Olgivske, Zaliznytsne, Mala Tokmakha, Robotino, Shcherbaki and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.

On the Kherson Front, the enemy carried out air strikes near Tyagynka and Molodyozhne. Artillery and mortar shelling was suffered by Olgivka and Burgunka in Kherson Oblast.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol Front, consolidating on the achieved lines, carrying out counter-battery measures.

The aviation of the forces of defense carried out 11 strikes against areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, two - against enemy air defense missile systems during the day.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage on 11 artillery means at firing positions and four command points of the enemy over the course of a day.

Overall, the estimated losses of the enemy for the previous day amounted to: 560 occupiers, nine tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, 38 artillery systems, six MLRS, one air defense system, 31 tactical drones and 26 vehicles and four units of special equipment.
