President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the preparation of significant decisions for our country and its soldiers by international partners and personally issuing passports of Ukrainian citizenship to young boys and girls.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Today was an important and good day. In the morning on the occasion of Independence Day, I had the honor to greet and award our defenders. 'Golden Stars' to Heroes of Ukraine, 'Crosses of Military Merit', Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Orders of 'For Courage'... I had the honor to present honorary awards to combat brigades and border patrol units. Happy that we have such soldiers!

I also issued passports of Ukrainian citizenship to our young boys and girls. Among them are children of our soldiers, children of our fallen heroes... Children. The state must open all possibilities for them to live with dignity, civilized, safely. To live freely! For every new generation of Ukrainians. And I strongly believe in these new generations, in our children. And grateful to them for their faith in Ukraine.

Today there was also an important international meeting. The Prime Minister of Qatar was in Kyiv — very fruitful talks. Most importantly — Qatar will be with us in the implementation of the peace formula and joins common global efforts. We agreed on cooperation to return Ukrainian children who were deported to Russia. Discussed the situation around the Black Sea Grain Initiative — it is extremely important that there are no shortages or crises provoked by Russia on the world food market. This is a matter of global stability. Thank you Qatar for its responsible position.

And one more thing. Our international partners are preparing quite significant decisions for Ukraine and our soldiers. We are doing everything we can now, quietly — so that the results of our soldiers, which everyone will see, also become maximum.

I thank everyone who is helping to strengthen Ukraine! I thank each one who is in battle right now!
