To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on July 22, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and sixteenth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

On the night of July 22, Russian occupiers attacked from the southeast with five kamikaze drones of the Shahed type. All five kamikaze drones were destroyed.

Over the past and previous day, the aviation of the Air Force delivered more than 25 group aerial strikes against Russian occupiers.

During the last day, the enemy carried out 16 missile attacks, over 20 air strikes, and conducted 50 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers on our troops' positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among children and adult civilian population, grain storage facilities in southern Ukraine were damaged and destroyed, industrial objects suffered damage, over 70 civilian residential buildings and other infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

The probability of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.

The enemy concentrates its main efforts on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes — over 40 combat encounters took place during the last day.

On the Volyn and Polesie axes, the operational situation remains unchanged. Signs of enemy offensive group formation have not been detected.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling on more than 15 populated areas, including Goncharivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Stukalivka, Bilovody, Stepne, Morozova Dolina in Sumy Oblast, and Gatyshche, Vovchanskyi Khutor, Bochkove, Kruglye, and Budarky in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk axis, our soldiers firmly hold their defense. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy was experienced by Krasne Pereche, Novomlynskyi, Kupyansk, Novosiniovka, and Synkivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Nadiia, Makieyivka, Nevske Lugansk Oblast, and Seredynskiy Forest and Dibrovy Donetsk Oblast. Aerial strikes were delivered in the areas of Seredynskiy Forest, Spirtne, and Dibrovy Donetsk Oblast. Artillery shelling was experienced by populated areas of Novoskale, Bihorivka Lugansk Oblast, Torske, Verkhnyokamyanske, Sperne, and Rozdolovka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut axis, under intense artillery fire from the enemy, our defenders successfully repelled attacks in the area of Hryhorivka. Over 15 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shulhtyne, Stupochki, Klyschyivka, Druzhba, and New York Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka axis, our defenders successfully repelled Russian army attacks in the area of Pervomaisk Donetsk Oblast. The enemy carried out aerial strikes in the area of Avdiivka. At the same time, artillery shelling was conducted on over 15 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Krasnogorivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol axis, Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian army advances in the areas of Krasnogorivka and Mariupol. The enemy carried out shelling on over 15 populated areas, including Mariupol, Georgiyivka, Maximilianska, Gostre, Pobeda, and Novomikhailovka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Novomikhailovka and Blagodatne Donetsk Oblast. Shelling was conducted on over 10 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Neskuhne, and Blagodatne.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy concentrates its main efforts to prevent further advancement of our troops. An aerial strike was delivered in the area of Kozatske Kherson Oblast. Artillery shelling was experienced by over 30 populated areas, including Novodarivka, Malynivka, Chervone, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Lokhovoe, Pyatykhatskye Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Dmitrivka, Tyaginka, Sadove, Dniprovskoye, Antonivka Kherson Oblast, the city of Kherson, and Ochakiv Mykolaiv Oblast.

At the same time, Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol and Berdyansk axes, consolidating on achieved lines.

In subunits of a motorized rifle regiment participating in combat actions around Perechnevskiy in Luhansk Oblast, Russian servicemen have a low level of moral-psychological state. It was established that the main factors negatively affecting it are significant losses in manpower during combat operations, untimely supply of occupiers with ammunition and uncertainty regarding terms for replenishing personnel units that suffered combat losses. The number of those wishing to leave their subunits and withdraw from combat areas to Russia is increasing.

Air Force of the Defense Forces over the past day delivered 14 strikes on areas of concentration of manpower, weapons, and military equipment and three — on enemy air defense missile systems. Also, our defenders destroyed eleven reconnaissance UAVs at the operational-tactical level.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery over the past day inflicted damage to two areas of concentration of manpower, weapons, and military equipment, five artillery systems on firing positions, and an enemy RBU station.

Overall, during the last day our soldiers liquidated 640 Russian occupiers. The enemy lost seven tanks, sixteen armored combat vehicles, nineteen artillery systems, one MLRS, eight air defense systems, eleven reconnaissance UAVs at the operational-tactical level, fourteen automobiles and five units of special equipment.
