Beating France (3:1) in the quarterfinal match of Euro 2023 (U-21) and securing a spot in the semifinals, Ukraine's youth national team achieved an historic success — earning our country’s first-ever qualification for an Olympic football tournament!

Men's teams will compete for medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics from July 24 to August 9 in seven cities across France: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne, Nice, and Nantes. According to the regulations, players born after January 1, 2001 can participate. Additionally, each team may include up to three overage players in their squad of eighteen.

The men's football tournament at the Olympics-2024 will feature sixteen national teams: France — as hosts, three teams representing Europe (Ukraine, Spain, Israel), three from Africa (to be determined July 4–7, with Morocco, Mali, Egypt, and Guinea competing for spots), three from Asia (to be announced in March 2024), two from South America (selection dates not yet confirmed), two from the CONCACAF zone (United States, Dominican Republic), one from Oceania (to be determined in September 2023), plus the winner of a playoff between the fourth-placed teams from Africa and Asia.

The format for the Olympic tournament is traditional: competition in four groups with four teams each, followed by knockout stages including quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place match, and final (August 9, Paris, "Parc des Princes").

It should be noted that Brazil currently holds the title of Olympic football champions among men's national teams, having defeated Spain in the final at Tokyo-2020.
