Today in the final match of the III European Games, the women's national team of Ukraine in beach soccer met with the Spanish team.

At the group stage of the III European Games, Yuri Klimenko's protégés secured second place in Group B and advanced to the semifinals, where they defeated Portugal yesterday (3:1).  

Today, the Ukrainian women faced the world ranking leader BSWW—Spain.

For almost 35 minutes, the teams battled without scoring any goals. In the last one and a half minutes, they exchanged goals. First, Hanna Shulga opened the score, and with 46 seconds remaining in regular time, the ball bounced off our goal line into the net from Jessica Igúez. Tie—1:1, and the match went to overtime.

At its very beginning, Yuliya Kostyuk scored a fantastic shot that put our team ahead again. But the Spaniards managed to equalize once more—2:2. The matter was decided by a penalty shootout, in which our opponents proved stronger—5:3.

Thus, Ukraine's national team secured second place at the European Games in Tarnów. The tournament winner—the Spanish team.
