To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on June 17, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred seventy-ninth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our country has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out another missile strike on Kyiv Oblast — six aeroballistic missiles X-47 "Kinjal" and six cruise missiles "Kalibr" were used. Using air defense forces of the Air Force and Ground Forces of Ukraine's Armed Forces, all 12 missiles were destroyed.

In addition, during the day, the enemy carried out 33 aviation strikes and conducted 59 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers. Unfortunately, in addition to damaging infrastructure, civilians also suffered casualties.

The probability of missile and aviation attacks on all territories of Ukraine remains very high.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes — 36 combat engagements took place during the past day.

On the Volyn and Polissya axes, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes during the day, the enemy carried out aviation strikes on the populated areas of Mogrytsia in Sumy Oblast and Budarka in Kharkiv Oblast. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling of the populated areas of Leonivka, Kostobrovyv and Hreymach in Chernihiv Oblast; Znob-Trubchivska, Chuykivka, Sosnovka, Starikove, Boyaro-Lyzhachi, Stary Vyrky, Basyvka, Stepok, Krasnopolia, Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Udi, Chernaya Zorya, Hlybokie, Lipcy, Zeleno, Terneva, Ogireve, Volchanske, Volchanskoye Khutori, Bochkove and Mala Volcha in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupianskyi axis, enemy artillery and mortar shelling was experienced by Kamianka, Krasne Pereche, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivske in Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy carried out an aviation strike near Sverdlovsk. Artillery shelling was experienced by Stelmakhivka, Nevske and Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Torske, Verkhnyokamianske, Sverdlovsk and Serbyanka — Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of White Hill and New York in Donetsk Oblast. The villages of Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bogdanivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozaryanivka, Bihorivka, Kostenkivka and Pivdenne were hit by enemy artillery shelling.

On the Avdiivka axis, during the day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Stepovyi and Avdiivka. Near the latter, an aviation strike was delivered. Also conducted artillery shelling of Veseloye and Karlivka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol axis, during the day that passed, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of ​​the city of Mariupol. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Mariupol and Victory. At the same time, he conducted artillery shelling of populated areas of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Mariupol, Maximilianske, and Kostenkivka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarskyi axis, during the day, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the directions of Novomikhailovka and Vodyany Donetsk Oblast, without success. Carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Prechistivka, Zolotoy Niva and Blagodatnyy. Conducted shelling of populated areas of Vuhledar, Vremivka, Storozhove, Novosilka and Novopil Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson axes, the enemy is defending. Shelled Olhivske, Poltavka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychnye, Hulyaypoliske, Charyvne, Bihorja, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka, Mali Shcherbaki, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Zhmiyvka, Shlyakhove, Berislav, Kozatske, Inzhenernoe, Zelenivka, Sadove, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Kizomys Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

The enemy continues to suffer heavy losses that it tries to hide in every way possible. In particular, the command of the occupiers has established a new order for treating wounded Russian military personnel, according to which only officers are evacuated to RF. The sergeants and enlisted ranks, regardless of the severity and complexity of injuries, are treated on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. To ensure compliance with this decision, oppressors have increased the number of hospital beds in places they use as military hospitals.

Air Force of Defense Forces carried out 17 strikes during the day against areas of enemy personnel concentration. Also, our warriors destroyed an enemy attack helicopter Ka-52 and seven reconnaissance UAVs at the operational-tactical level.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage on a command post, three areas of enemy personnel concentration, five artillery subunits in firing positions, four radio-electronic warfare stations, and two more important targets of the enemy during the day.

In summary, Ukrainian warriors liquidated 670 Russian occupiers during the past day. The enemy also lost 12 tanks, 23 combat armored vehicles, 22 artillery systems, three MLRS, one helicopter, seven operational-tactical level UAVs, 12 missiles, 38 cars and a unit of special equipment.
