Of the 11 Ukrainian players invited to join the national team for preparation ahead of the Euro-2024 qualifying match against England over the past weekend, seven played for their clubs.

On Saturday, May 20, in the 35th round of La Liga, Viktor Tsygankov’s home team “Girona” lost to “Villarreal” (1:2).

In the 33rd round of Poland’s Ekstraklasa, Yevhen Konoplyanka played to a draw with “Jagiellonia” on the road (1:1).

In the 37th round of England’s Premier League, Ilya Zabarnyi and his “Bournemouth” lost to visitors from “Manchester United” — 0:1.

In the 36th round of France’s Ligue 1, Ruslan Malinovskiy failed to save his “Marseille” in an away match against “Lille,” where the Ukrainian player’s team lost with a score of 1:2.

On Sunday, May 21, in the fourth round of Belgium’s Pro League, Roman Yaremchuk helped “Brugge” defeat “Antwerp” at home (2:0).

“Chelsea” Mikhail Mudryk lost on the road to newly crowned Premier League champions, “Manchester City,” — 0:1.

Finally, Andriy Yarmolenko helped “Al-Ain” reach the final of the UAE League Cup. Although his team lost in the away semi-final match against “Al-Nassr” (0:1), they advanced to the decisive game for the trophy due to a home victory (4:1).
