To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 14, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The fourth hundred and forty-fifth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

Last night, Russian terrorists carried out another missile strike on Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified at present.

Yesterday, the Russian Federation carried out another massive strike on Ukrainian territory, using Iranian combat drones Shahed-136/131.

According to updated information, 18 of the 23 were destroyed by our defenders. As a result of the explosions, nearly 50 multi-story buildings, private homes, cultural and medical institutions were damaged. There are over 30 injured among civilians.

Overall, during the past day, the enemy carried out four missile strikes, including on the cities of Ternopil and Mykolaiv, as a result of which there are civilian casualties; a multi-story building and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. Additionally, the enemy carried out 79 air raids and made 99 artillery attacks on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of shelling Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Among them are children. A private home was destroyed, four multi-story buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions. Overall, during the past day, 57 combat engagements took place in these sectors of the front, with Bakhmut and Mariupol remaining at the epicenter of military operations.

On the Volyn and Polissya Directions, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On the Northern and Sloboda Directions the enemy carried out air strikes on areas of populated places such as Progress, Mhy, Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv Oblast, and Budarky in Kharkiv Oblast. He also conducted mortar and artillery shelling of populated places such as Klyusy, Yelene, Zarychche, Mhy, Medvedivka, Yanzhulivka, Hremyach in Chernihiv Oblast, and Stara Hut, Demianivka, Bachivske, Volyna, Stepok, Riasne, Popivka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Udi, Kozacha Lopan', Staritsya, Ogireve, Khatnye, Hativshche, Plytenivka, Bochkove, Nesterne, and Budarky in Kharkiv.

On the Kupyansk Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Masutivka, Novoselyvskiy, and eastern outskirts of Stelemahyvka. He conducted air strikes on areas of populated places such as Vilschan and Kotliarivka. Artillery and mortar shelling from the enemy was experienced by Novomlyn, Dvorichna, Tabayivka, Nikopol in Kharkiv Oblast, and Stelemahyvka — Luhansk.

On the Lyman Direction, during the day the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions. He carried out air strikes on areas of populated places such as Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Terny, Verkhnyokamyanske, and Spirene in Donetsk. Artillery shelling from the enemy was experienced by Makieivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Bihorivka, Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirene, and Berestevo — Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut Direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions. Intense battles are ongoing for the city of Bakhmut. Additionally, during the day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated places such as Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Bakhmut, and Bila Hora. The enemy conducted air strikes on areas of populated places such as Vasyutynske, Novomarkovo, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Kurdyumivka, and Pivnichne. As a result of enemy shelling, Vasylkivka, Fedorivka Second, Orhyhov-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Pivnichne, and Pivdenne in Donetsk Oblast were affected.

On the Avdiivka Direction, the enemy carried out an air strike on the area of Avdiivka and shelled Perevalskiy and Karlivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol Direction, units of the Defense Forces repelled numerous attacks by the enemy in the vicinity of the city of Mariupol. At the same time, enemy shelling affected Georgiyivka and Pobeda in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk Direction, during the day the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions. He carried out an air strike near Prichystyvka. He also shelled populated places such as Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka, Prichystyvka, and Shakhterske.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Directions, occupiers are defending their positions. They carried out air strikes on areas of populated places such as Vremivka in Luhansk Oblast, Burlyatske, Maliyinovka, Zatishya, Hulyaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Malyy Shcherbak, and Berislav and Kozatske in Kherson Oblast. They also shelled populated places such as Maliyinovka, Hulyaypole, Bihorija, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Novopavlivka, Malyy Shcherbak, and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Zolotaya Balka, Mykhailivka, Dmitrivka, Antonivka, Chornobaivka in Kherson Oblast, and the city of Kherson.

The enemy continues to attempt to replenish its losses in manpower at the expense of individuals from Russia who are detained. Recently, it was noted that nearly 200 such individuals arrived at one of the enemy's field camps in temporarily occupied Rogovo in Luhansk Oblast for a four-week course of general military training. By the end of the month, another 250 convicted individuals are expected to arrive.

Also, in the vicinity of the populated place Moznyaky in Luhansk Oblast, occupiers organized preparation for up to 800 newly arrived Russian detainees.

At the same time, near the populated place Novopetrovka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, on the territory of a military training range, recently about 400 mercenaries from among Russian prisoners were brought in by the PMC "Wagner". Training will last several weeks. In the nearest future, another 400 mercenaries from among convicted Russians are expected to arrive for military training.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out ten strikes during the day against areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy as well as four strikes on enemy air defense missile complexes. Also, our defenders shot down three enemy reconnaissance drones of the "Orlan-10" type, destroyed two reconnaissance drones of the Zala type, four guided bombs of the "Lancet" type, and five more — of an undetermined type.

Units of rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage on four areas of concentration of personnel, a multiple launch rocket system at a firing position, two air defense systems, two ammunition depots, as well as two radio-electronic warfare stations of the enemy.
