To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 28, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and twenty-ninth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian aggressor does not abandon its intentions regarding the occupation of our territory, continuing to wage an aggressive war.

The enemy continues to employ tactics of terror, ignoring laws and customs of warfare, striking civilian objects.

Today, Russian terrorists carried out another massive missile strike on Ukraine. Information about the consequences is being clarified at this time.

Yesterday, the enemy delivered eight missile strikes and 31 air raids, conducted 56 artillery attacks from multiple rocket launchers against our positions and populated areas. Civilians were injured; private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.

The likelihood of further missile and aerial strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka axes. Over 65 attacks were carried out in these sectors over the past day; however, all of them were repelled by units of the Defense Forces. The epicenter of combat actions remains Bakhmut and Mariinka, our soldiers bravely holding their ground.

On the Volynian and Polissian axes, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. Signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi axes yesterday, the enemy carried out air strikes on populated areas Seredyna-Buda and Chernyatynka; conducted mortar and artillery attacks on populated areas Gremyach of Chernihiv Oblast; Novovasylivka, Ukrainivka, Baranivka, Bachivske, Kucherivka, Volvino, Oleksiyivka, and Myropillya of Sumy Oblast, as well as Basove, Bugayevka, Kozacha Lopan', Strilecha, Hlybokoye, Hatiysche, Vovchansk, Vilkhuvatka, Bologivka, Dvorichanske, and Kolodyazhne of Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations; actively used UAVs to correct artillery fire. Artillery and mortar attacks by the enemy were suffered by Kamianka, Krasne Pereche, Figolivka, Novomlyn'ske, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Liman First, Doroshevka, Berestove of Kharkiv Oblast, and Novoselivske of Luhansk Oblast.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of ​​the populated place Dibrova and Seriyevskoye forest. Artillery attacks by the enemy were suffered by Makieivka, Nevskoye, Dibrova, Bihorivka of Luhansk Oblast, and Terny, Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirene of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy continues offensive operations. Battles are ongoing in the city of Bakhmut. Additionally, over the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations towards Bogdanivka. The villages of Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Khromove, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Predtekhine, Kostyantynivka, Pivnichne, Pivdenne, Nelypivka, and New York of Donetsk Oblast suffered from enemy shelling.

On the Avdiivka axis, the enemy conducted offensive operations in the areas of ​​the populated places Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaisk of Donetsk Oblast; carried out attacks on the villages Novokalynove, Stepove, Berdychi, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodyane, and Pervomaisk of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariinka axis, over the past day our defenders repelled enemy attacks in the areas of ​​the populated places Krasnogorivka and Mariinka. At the same time, enemy shelling was suffered by Krasnogorivka, Georgiyevka, Mariinka, Paraskevivka, and Novomikhaylivka of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk axis, over the past day the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Carried out air strikes on Vuhledar and Velikyi Novosyelok, conducted attacks on populated places Bogoyavlenska, Nova Ukrayinka, Zolota Niva, Prechystivka, and Vuhledar of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy is defending. At the same time, it carried out attacks on populated places near the line of contact. Among them — Vile Pole, Novopil of Donetsk Oblast; Olhyvskoye, Hulyaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka, and Kamianske of Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Kherson and Berislaw of Kherson Oblast. Also, last night the enemy carried out a missile strike on Mykolaiv.

The occupiers continue to suffer losses, including non-combat ones. Thus, in one of the units of the enemy located in Melitopol district of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, 20 occupiers died as a result of poisoning from consuming an unknown substance on April 24.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out seven strikes over the past day against areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy, as well as a strike against an air defense missile system of the enemy.

At the same time, our defenders shot down six enemy UAVs of various types.

Units of rocket forces and artillery over the past day inflicted damage on two command points, a concentration area of ​​enemy troops, air defense means, ammunition depot, and two artillery units.
