To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 24, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred twenty-fifth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our country has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore international humanitarian law, terrorizing civilians and destroying residential buildings and critical infrastructure.

During the past day, the enemy carried out one missile strike and 46 air strikes, conducted nearly 60 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launchers on our positions and populated areas. It actively uses aviation, employing cruise missiles in Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, resulting in casualties among the civilian population and destruction of private residential buildings and other civil infrastructure.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

Main efforts by the enemy are concentrated on conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes — repelled nearly 60 attacks. The most intense battles continue for Bakhmut and Mariupol.

On the Volyn and Polesie fronts, the operational situation remains stable. Signs of forming offensive groups have not been detected.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts, the enemy continues to maintain a certain number of its troops in border areas with Ukraine in Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions. During the past day, it shelled populated areas of Hremincha Chernihiv region; Chervona Zoria, Pavlivka, Kindratyvka, Timofiyivka Sumy region, as well as Hopivka, Zelenye, Neskuchne, Budarki, Mylove, and Krasnoe Pereche in Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk front, artillery shelling by the enemy was experienced by Dvorichna, Grynykivka, Masutiivka, Liman First, Kislivka and Berestove Kharkiv region; Novoselske in Luhansk region; Toretske and Spirene Donetsk region.

On the Lyman front, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations during this day. Artillery shelling was experienced by Makieyivka, Nevske, Bihorivka Luhansk region; Toretske, Dibrova, Verkhnyokamyanske and Spirene — Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut front, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations. Intense battles are ongoing for the city of Bakhmut. Also during the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near populated areas of Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka and Ivanivske. Civilian casualties were suffered by Vasyukivka, Orhiv-Vasylivka, Markove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Novodmitrivka, Kostyantynivka and New York Donetsk region.

On the Avdiivka front, the enemy conducted offensive operations in areas of Novokalynovo and Pervomayske Donetsk region, without success, suffering heavy losses. It shelled, among others, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Severne, Tonenne, Lastochkine, Pervomayske, Karlivka and Nevelske.

On the Mariupol front, during the day our defenders repelled numerous attacks by the enemy in northern and central parts of the populated area of Mariupol, as well as in the Novomykhailivka Donetsk region. At the same time, civilian casualties were suffered by Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Mariupol, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka and Paraskevyivka Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. It shelled Bogoyavlenskaya, Novoukrayinka, Vuhledar, Zolotaya Niva, Prechistivka and Velika Nova Sylka Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations. At the same time during the day it carried out shelling of more than 40 populated areas. Among them — Vremivka, Novosilka, Novopil Donetsk region; Olhyvskye, Chervone, Charivne, Orhiy Zaporizhzhia region; Nikopol Dnipropetrovsk region; Tomaryne, Otradokamyanka, Olhyvka, Sadove, Kizomys Kherson region and the city of Kherson. Nearly 25 residential buildings were damaged. There are injured among civilians.

Russian occupiers continue to plunder the peaceful population of Ukraine, appropriating grain harvests. Thus, in Berdyansk Zaporizhzhia region, the so-called Russian occupation "authority" is trying to transport stolen crops by loading them onto enemy cargo ships.

Occupants are catastrophically short on medical personnel on the battlefield. To replenish shortages of military doctors, local workers in medical facilities in Berdyansk who received passports of citizens of the Russian Federation were forced to register with the enemy's military service. In case of refusal, they threaten them with loss of jobs.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 14 strikes on areas where occupiers are concentrated over the past day. Also two reconnaissance drones of type "Merlin" and one — "Orlan-10", as well as eight kamikaze drones of type "Lancet" were shot down.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage to three enemy radio-electronic warfare stations.
