In the two months since our previous review of the Ukrainian U-19 championship, its participants have played between six and nine matches.

Six matches represent the minimum program corresponding to the six spring 2023 rounds that took place. Everything else was catch-up games for postponed autumn season 2022/2023 matches, which, as a reminder, is being held under extreme conditions. But it's happening thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The best result in terms of points scored this year was demonstrated by "Shakhtar" with 20 points. However, the miners played the most matches—nine—and failed to win three of them: a March loss ("Ruh" 0-2) and two April draws ("Chornomorets" 1-1, "Lviv" 0-0).

Perhaps this is due to the departure of orange-and-black leaders who were promoted in spring—Andriy Bulizha to "Myna," Kiryl Sigiyev and Roman Savchenko to "Oleksandria," and top scorer of the U-19 championship Vladyslav Pogorilyi to "Zorya." In their place, more opportunities are now available for players born in 2006 (Vasyl Bundash, Viktor Tsukanov, Bohdan Tryfanenko) and even 2007 (Yevheniy Harmash).

So far, "Ruh" (19 points out of a possible 21) and "Dynamo" (14 out of 18) are the most productive teams in the spring part of the season. Lvivians, whose leadership Vitaliy Ponomaryov (he replaced Leonid Kuchuk as head coach of Ruh's first team) handed over to Mykhailo Dyachok-Stavitsky, lost only one match—to Dynamo in the last round (0-0)—and continue advancing towards the championship title. Meanwhile, Kyivans have dropped points since March against "Dnipro-1" (1:1), which scored fewer points in spring (11 in seven matches) than in autumn (16 in 14).

The results of "Veres" improved significantly: seven points in 13 matches in the first part of the season, and 13 in eight at the start of spring. The difference is simply enormous! Only the already mentioned leaders have scored more («Shakhtar»—20, «Ruh»—19, «Dynamo»—14 plus «Oleksandria»—also 14 but in seven matches), while "Veres" has climbed from the penultimate position to 11th.

Neither "Myna" nor "Metalist" have won any games since resuming the U-19 championship, scoring two and one point respectively. The Kharkiv team moved down from seventh place in the league table to twelfth.
