Tetiana Romanenko, a defender of the Ukrainian women's national team, commented on the victory in a friendly match against Estonia (1:0).

"A win is always a joy for us. First, our fans were present at the stands. Second, we are preparing for the Women's Nations League, and a victory gives us confidence in our own strength."

I think we lacked some luck. Also, we had slightly fewer training sessions because this is the first gathering after seven months. This naturally affects us. However, we are working on it; we hope to have more opportunities to train together. We will strive to improve our game.

I noticed that Estonian players were very well prepared physically. The opponents played slightly better compared to previous live matches. There is a future in this team," — noted Tetiana Romanenko.

We remind you that the draw for the first-ever Women's Nations League will take place on May 2nd. The composition of the leagues and rankings before the draw will be determined by the current UEFA women's national team ranking. Currently, Ukraine is ranked 22nd, which means they are set to enter League C.

In 2023, participants in the Women's Nations League are scheduled for six game windows: September 20-22 and 23-26, October 25-27 and 28-31, November 29 - December 1, and December 2-5.
