Today, on March 25, the Ukraine U-19 national team (players born in or after 2004) continued their participation in the elite round of Euro 2023 qualification with a match against Denmark.

In the first group game, coach Serhiy Nagornyy's side lost to Luxembourg (1:2), putting them in a precarious position. In the match against the Danes, which took place in the Spanish city of Almenara-leche, the blue and yellow team had to secure three points.

For a long time, the teams exchanged chances until on the 31st minute, Tsarenko opened the scoring from Gorbach's pass. However, just before halftime, the Scandinavians managed to equalize.

On the 50th minute, Denmark scored again, leaving Ukraine with no choice but to go forward. Slubik, Pushkaryov, Varfolomeev, Siegeiev, Losenko, and others made attempts, but either lacked accuracy or were saved by the goalkeeper.

In summary, the Ukrainian boys lost again 1-2 and unfortunately missed their chance to qualify for Euro. The next match will be on March 28 against Spain.
