Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on March 8, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred seventy-eighth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

Occupants are concentrating their main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions. They continue unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Orilovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Kamianka, Avdiivka, and Marinka in the Donetsk region.

Yesterday, our defenders repelled more than 100 attacks by the enemy on the mentioned directions.

The occupiers carried out 24 air strikes and one missile strike. In particular, during air raids, the enemy used one UAV of the "Shahed-136" type. It was shot down. The occupiers also conducted more than 60 shelling with multiple rocket launchers.

On the Volyn, Polesie, North and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation — no significant changes. Formations of enemy offensive groups have not been detected. At the same time, the enemy continues to maintain its units near Ukraine's state border. During the past day, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the areas of the populated places Senkivka and Karpovychi in Chernihiv region; Starikove, Bilypyllya, Holishivske, Pavlivka, Volvynne, and Grabovskye — Sumy region; and the areas of 18 populated places in Kharkiv region, including Udi, Veterinarnoe, Strilecha, Krasnoye, Zelenoje, Ustynivka, Aniskine, Shevchykivka, Dvorichna, and Zapadne.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated places Grynykivka, Bihorivka, Spirene, Viyimka, Nevske, and Fedorivka. Conducted artillery shelling of the areas of populated places Putnivoye, Figolivka, Dvorichna, Grynykivka, and Krykhmalne in Kharkiv region; Novoselyvskoye, Stehlomakhivka, Nevske, Chervonopopylka, and Dybrova — Luhansk region, and Terne, Yampele, Rozdolivka, and Fedorivka in Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut direction, despite significant losses, the enemy continues to storm the city of Bakhmut. Also carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated places Berkhivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Orilovo-Vasylivka, Bogdanivka, Ivanivske, and Klyshchyivka. During the past day alone near Orilovo-Vasylivka, the enemy carried out more than 30 unsuccessful attacks. Shelled with artillery the areas of populated places Orilovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bogdanivka, Stupochki, Predtekhine, Oleksandr-Shultyne, Dilievka, Zalizne, and New York.

On the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated places Aleksandriopil, Kamianka, Severne, Vodyane, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. Near Marinka alone, the enemy conducted more than 20 attacks. Over 25 populated areas were shelled by the enemy, including Berdychi, Orlyvka, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pervomayske, Nevelskoye, Krasnogorivka, Novomykhailivka, Ugledar, and Prichystyvka.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy is on the defensive. Shelled areas of over 30 populated places near the line of contact, including Olhyvske, Tashishcha, Charivne, Pavlivka, Primorske in Zaporizhzhya region, as well as Kachkarivka, Mylove, Zmyivka, Yanyvka, Kherson, and Inzhenerne in Kherson region.

In the populated place of Ulyanivka in Vasylkivsky district of temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya region, according to an order from so-called "Russian occupation administration," a local hangar is being filled with grain crops collected from nearby agricultural enterprises and farms. The occupiers are simply confiscating the grain under the guise of purchasing at significantly undervalued prices.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out seven strikes on areas where enemy forces were concentrated during the day. Our defenders also shot down an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle of the "Orlan-10" type. Ukrainian rocket and artillery units simultaneously damaged one S-300V4 surface-to-air missile system, five areas of enemy troop concentration, three ammunition depots, and one radar reconnaissance and control complex "Zoopark."
