To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on March 5, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred seventy-fifth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun. 

During the past day, the enemy carried out six missile and 24 air strikes, conducted over 65 artillery attacks, including on civilian infrastructure. There are casualties among civilians. 

The threat of Russian Federation missile strikes remains high across Ukraine's territory. 

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions. During the past day, our defenders repelled over 130 attacks by the enemy in these areas. 

On the Volyn, Polesie, Sever, and Slobozhansky directions the operational situation — no significant changes. No offensive units of the enemy have been detected. The enemy shelled populated areas in Bachivska, Ulanove, Kucherivka, Bilkopitove, Starikovo, Khodin, Rizhivka, Atinske, Holsyvsko, Pavlivka and Sadki of Sumy region as well as the districts of 35 populated areas in Kharkiv region, including Veterinarne, Krasnoe, Ogireve, Budariki, Dvorichanske, Novomlynskyi and Dvoriche. 

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions the enemy conducted offensive actions in the areas of Nevske, Serednyansky forest district and Bihorivka of Luhansk region. He did not succeed. Carried out artillery strikes on populated areas around the line of contact. Among them — Gryyankivka, Kyslivka, Pishchane, Khromalne of Kharkiv region; Stelemykhivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Bihorivka of Luhansk region and Terny, Spirene, Fedoriivka and Rozdolyvka in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction the enemy does not give up attempts to encircle the city of Bakhmut. During the past day our defenders repelled numerous attacks around populated areas Vasylkivka, Zaliznyanske, Oryhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske and Bakhmut in Donetsk region. Enemy shelling affected, among others, Fedoriivka, Vasylkivka, Zaliznyanske, Oryhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bogdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Predtechine, Klyshyivka, Kurdyumivka, Druzhba, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ozaryanyvka, Dilievka, Toretsk, Mayoriv and Pivnichne in Donetsk region. 

On the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsky directions the enemy unsuccessfully attacked our positions around populated areas Kamianka, Severne, Vodyane, Pereomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka and Pobedy. Conducted artillery and mortar strikes on more than 30 populated areas, including Novobakhmutivky, Ocheretyno, Berdychi, Vodyane, Pereomaiske, Maximilianske, Pobedy, Novomykhailivka, Novoukrayinka and Velika Nova Solka. 

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions the enemy is defending and trying to improve tactical positions for resuming the offensive. Conducted artillery strikes on more than 40 populated areas, including Olhyvskyi, Hulyaypole, Zaliznytske, Bihorija, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region; Berislav, Olhyvka, Lvove, Mikhilske and Dniprovskoe in Kherson region as well as the city of Kherson, and also the city of Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region. There are casualties among civilian population. 

In the city of Nova Kakhovka in Kherson region, occupiers use the civilian population as a human shield. In particular, to hit weapons intended for enemy military targets, occupation forces place their anti-aircraft systems among residential quarters of the city.

The Russian occupational army is losing control on the battlefield over so-called Cossack battalions. For example, in the area of Vuhledar a hostile Cossack battalion "Step/Tiger" is carrying out tasks; its command is extremely dissatisfied with the leadership of the Russian Federation's armed forces and ignores interaction with units of the Russian occupational army. 

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 18 strikes against areas of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration, as well as two strikes — on anti-aircraft missile systems, one — on an enemy ammunition depot and one — on a road bridge. Also our defenders shot down four reconnaissance and strike UAVs of various types. 

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery during the day hit three areas of enemy concentration, two positions of anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as two stations of enemy radio-electronic warfare. 

Overall Ukrainian soldiers liquidated 930 Russian occupiers in the past day, destroyed five tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, twelve artillery systems, one multiple rocket launcher and one anti-aircraft system. The enemy also lost ten cars and two units of special equipment.
