President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the need to strengthen our country's and society's information work and about the constant search for new methods of operation for those who are currently in temporarily occupied territory.
"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!
Today we conclude this week with a strong diplomatic event — for the first time in 32 years, a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia visited Ukraine.
This is yet another sign of respect for Ukraine, our resilience and strength. Respect from the world.
Monday — US President Joe Biden in Kyiv. The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund also in Kyiv.
Tuesday — Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Kyiv. A powerful delegation from the US Congress — representatives of the Republican Party — also in Kyiv.
Wednesday — conversation with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The first bilateral meeting in history with the President of Uganda. Conversation with the President of Pakistan. Conversation with the President of Estonia.
Thursday — Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez in Kyiv. Conversation with the President of Egypt. Visit by representatives of the global parliamentary network "United for Ukraine." This is 13 parliaments from European countries and the European Parliament. Finally, a historically significant vote at the UN General Assembly on our resolution regarding peace and territorial integrity of our country. 141 states — in favor!
Friday, anniversary of resilience, — Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki in Kyiv and "leopards," modern battle tanks, — in Ukraine. The result we have been working towards for many months. Meeting of leaders from the G7 countries and Ukraine's participation in this meeting. In a year, Ukraine has become a traditional participant in top international formats.
Today there was also a good meeting with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs. The first official visit at this level by a representative of that country. Of course, we are working on even higher levels of visits and relations. But already now we have finally achieved interaction.
And this, incidentally, brings specific and sensitive results for Ukrainians, especially regarding the release of detainees. I thank our Saudi partners for their cooperation and assistance.
This is one week. And again — strengthening our country, our soldiers, our strength, our international positions.
Today I met with representatives of our Ukrainian television, the Ukrainian TV marathon "United News." With journalists, editors, producers. A very meaningful online meeting. The reason for the meeting — the anniversary of the marathon, gratitude to everyone who works in it.
But the content was much broader. We talked about strengthening our country's and society's information work. This is especially true for those parts of the world where our diplomacy has long been absent due to various reasons over decades.
And now we need to ensure that we are maximally powerful in terms of both information and diplomacy. So that Ukraine's position is absolutely clear in all parts of the world. This is important for our work on de-occupation, as well as for our planned active actions.
The more people know about Ukraine, the more they understand Ukraine, the more they support Ukraine. And then victory becomes closer.
I thank everyone again — each and every one of you — who works in the marathon, who creates this information foundation for our national unity.
Thank you for your dedication to Ukraine's cause, for your sincere desire to find and develop formats that strengthen the marathon, thus strengthening Ukraine.
And I thank those who constantly search for new methods of work in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, for finding new ways to reach our people in Donetsk, Luhansk, on the south of the country, and in Crimea.
It is very important that Russia has not managed to cut off our people from information or our land in those parts of Ukraine where there are still three-color terrorists. We must — and we will do everything — to make access for our people to truthful information greater.
Today, on February 26, we mark the Day of Resistance against the Occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol. And today's conversation is especially important. A discussion about ensuring understanding through information and all other means that Ukraine will not abandon anyone or leave anyone to the enemy. We will return everyone and everything from Russian captivity.
In the 14th year of Russian aggression, it began with the seizure of Crimea. Logically, we will put an end to any attempts by Russia to subjugate Ukraine and all European and Asian peoples who once fell under Kremlin's pretensions by liberating Crimea.
International law will prevail precisely here on Ukrainian lands: in Donbas, in the Azov region, in Kherson oblast, and in Crimea.
I thank everyone who is bringing this victory closer! I thank everyone who helps our people in temporarily occupied territories!
Glory to each and every one of you who are now at war!
By the way, today I am especially grateful to our boys from the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who shot down another enemy aircraft near Avdiivka!
Glory to all our heroes of resistance in temporarily occupied territories! All of Ukraine will be free!
And one more thing. Today there are new decisions by our state regarding sanctions against those who are involved or help Russia wage war and destroy lives.
I signed three decrees to implement the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council. Against Russians involved in kidnapping Ukrainian children. Against representatives of Russian sports, who try to put sport at the service of aggression. And against those who help maintain recruitment structures in Russia for war against Ukraine and all free people.
The pressure from Ukraine will continue. The world's pressure on the state-terrorist regime will continue.
Glory to Ukraine!»
