To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on February 17, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and fifty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

During the past day, the enemy used 41 rockets of various types against the territory of our country (five of them, specifically — modified S-300 SAMs, hit Kharkiv). Sixteen rockets were shot down by our defenders. In addition, the occupiers carried out 24 air strikes and conducted over 50 shelling with multiple rocket launchers. There are injured and fatalities among the civilian population.

The threat of Russian Federation attacks remains high across all of Ukraine's territory.

Main efforts of the enemy are concentrated on conducting offensive operations along the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.

During the past day, subunits of the Armed Forces repelled attacks by Russian aggressors in the areas of the populated places Grynykivka and Synykhivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Stelmakhivka, Krymna, Dibrova and Bihorivka — Luhansk and Rozdolivka, Fedorivka, Paraskoviyivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Severne, Vodyane, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka and Volodar on Donetsk.

On the Volynian, Polesian, Northern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy continues to maintain certain subunits in border areas with Ukraine, but no offensive groupings have been detected. Preparations of units of Russian troops are ongoing on the training grounds of the Belarusian republic. The enemy does not cease mortar and artillery shelling of positions of our subunits as well as populated places along the state border of Ukraine. During the past day, enemy shelling affected areas of the populated places Popivka, Bachivsk and Partizanskoe in Sumy Oblast, as well as Veterinarnoye, Graniv, Svitlichne, Strilecha and Vovchansky on Kharkivshchina.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions the enemy shelled populated places Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Grynykivka and Kucherivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Stelmakhivka, Nevyske and Chervonopopyvka on Luhanshchina and Berestevo in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction artillery influence was experienced by Spirene, Viyimka, Bihorivka, Veselye, Rozdolivka, Fedorivka, Vasyukivka, Paraskoviyivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Predtechine, Oleksandr-Shulthine, Kurdyumivka and Ozaryanivka.

On the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions the enemy carried out artillery shelling of populated places Veselye, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Nevelskoie, Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Mariinka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, Volodar, Bogoyavlenskaya, Prechistivka, Velika Novosilka, Vremyvka and Nesukhne on Donetsk.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction artillery influence was experienced by areas of populated places Zelenoye Pole and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast as well as Malinivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychnye, Bihor'ya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka and Kamianske on Zaporizhzhia.

On the Kherson direction areas of populated places Zmiyivka, Tokaryvka, Antonivka and Kherson suffered from enemy artillery fire. Civilians were affected.

In temporarily occupied Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, an additional mobile communication tower set up by the enemy was discovered. With its help, Russian special services have the ability to eavesdrop on phone conversations of GSM operator subscribers.

Recently, a new team of instructors from Iran arrived in temporarily occupied Luhansk to train Russian military personnel in the use of strike unmanned aerial complexes.

To replenish losses in manpower, the enemy in various ways lures different categories of society into the ranks of Russian occupation forces, including so-called guest workers. Thus, recently one such worker surrendered to our defenders who are holding defense in Volnovasky district of Donetsk Oblast.

The aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 13 strikes during the past day against areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of occupiers as well as one — on a position of a surface-to-air missile complex.

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery simultaneously inflicted damage to four areas of concentration of enemy manpower, an artillery subunit at firing positions, two positions of surface-to-air missile complexes, a storage facility for ammunition as well as two other important objects of the occupiers.
