To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on February 8, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and fiftieth day of the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy, attempting to fully control Donetsk and Luhansk regions, continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Kupyansky, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlovsk directions in the areas of the populated places of Kreminna, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Opytnoye, Mariinka, and Vuhledar. Sustains significant losses, especially in manpower.

Over the past day, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places of Novoselivka, Chernyhopivka, Shypylivka, and Bihorivka in Luhansk region, as well as Verkhnyokamyanske, Fedorivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Spirene, Viyimka, Bakhmut, Krasna Gora, Paraskoviyivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kamianka, Vodyane, Perevomaysk, Krasnogorivka, Avdiivka, Mariinka, and Bohodukhivka in Donetsk region.

During the day, the enemy inflicted eight missile strikes, five of which were on civilian infrastructure in the city of Kharkiv, and 21 air strikes. In addition, the enemy carried out 39 artillery shelling, including on civilian infrastructure in Mykolaivshchyna and Khersonshchyna regions. Residential buildings have been damaged.

The threat of further Russian aerial and missile strikes across all of Ukraine remains high.

On the Volyn, Polesie, Sever, and Slobozhansky directions — no changes, signs of forming offensive groupings have not been detected. Shelling was experienced in the areas of the populated places of Zarutskye, Popivka, and Sadki in Sumy region, as well as Veterinarnoe, Strilecha, Krasne, Hlybokoye, Lypchi, Starytsia, Morohovets, Zeleno, Neskuchnoye, Gatyshe, Vovchansky, Budarki, Vilkhuvatka, Krasne First, Novomlynivskiy, and Kamianka in Kharkiv region. The occupiers used drones with combat payloads in the area of Volynin Sumy region.

On the Kupyansky and Lyman directions, areas around more than 40 populated places came under fire. Among them — Dvorychyna, Grynykivka, Kucherivka, Kupyansk, Kurilivka, Kislivka, Kotlyaryvka, Tabayivka, Berestove, Krokhmalne, Vishnevyye, Chernyhopivka, and Kuzymne in Kharkiv region, as well as Novoselivskiy, Steblyakhivka, Novoyegorivka, Makieyivka, Ploschanka, Nevske, Pishane, Kreminna, Dybrova, and Bihorivka in Luhansk region. The enemy inflicted air strikes in the areas of Kotlyaryvka, Krokhmalne, and Bihorivka.

On the Bakhmut direction, shelling was experienced in Spirene, Berestove, Bihorivka, Rozdolyvka, Zaliznyanske, Paraskoviyivka, Krasna Gora, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Mykolayivka, Predtechyne, Klitsyivka, Kurdyumivka, New York, and Veselye in Donetsk region, totaling more than 30 populated places.

On the Avdiivka and Novopavlovsk directions, areas around Avdiivka, Vodyane, Mariinka, Pobeda, Novomikhaylivka, Vuhledar, Zolotaya Niva, and Neskuchnoye in Donetsk region came under tank, mortar, and artillery shelling. Air strikes by occupiers were recorded near Avdiivka, Nevelskoye, and Mariinka. In the area of Vodyane, Russian invaders dropped aerosol tear gas grenades from drones on our positions.

On the Zaporizhzhya direction, areas around more than 30 populated places were hit by enemy fire, including Novopil, Olgivske, Maliyinivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznytsne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka, Shcherbaki, Malyyi Shcherbaky, and Stepanov in Zaporizhzhya region. The enemy inflicted air strikes near Olgivske and Hulyaypole.

On the Kherson direction, 17 populated places were affected by enemy fire, including Mikhailivka, Havrylivka, Mylove, Zmiyivka, Novobereysk, Kozatske, Lvov, Tyaginka, Ivanivka, Mikilske, Antonivka, Yantarnoye, Berehove, Veletsenske, and Kherson.

In the populated place of Kakhovskiy district of Kherson region, Russian occupation forces are forcibly taking civilian cars from local residents.

The aviation of the Defense Forces over the past day inflicted 12 strikes on areas of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration and two strikes on positions of air defense missile systems. Also, our defenders destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft, a Mi-24 helicopter, and two enemy drones of the «Orlan» type. Our artillery and rocket forces hit two command points of the enemy, seven areas of personnel concentration, and an ammunition depot.
