The blue-and-yellow team is holding morning training sessions in the gym of the SUNRISE Beach Sports Academy. The Association of Beach Football Ukraine announced.

It should be noted that the upcoming season will be very busy and starts quite early — on April 24th, European qualification for the 2023 World Cup will begin in Spain.

The start of our boys' work was commented on by the head coach of Ukraine, Mykola Kostenko: "This working process can be considered a preparatory training session. Both experienced players and young ones who train with the national team are arriving. Some are absent, for example, Yaroslav Zavorotnyi today. But he has a very important reason — his son was born, which we all congratulate him on. The season will be very busy — the teams await European qualification for the World Cup, European Games in Poland, World Beach Games in Indonesia, Euroleague-2023, and directly the World Cup in Dubai."

Since the World Cup was moved from Europe to UAE, the European quota has been reduced from five spots to four. So our current task is to get into the top 4 in April's qualification for the World Cup so we can go to the 2023 Mundial."

His opinion was also shared by Ukraine national team player Dmytro Voytenko, who did not participate in the training process.

"I feel great. I'm just undergoing a certain rehabilitation that was planned for this period. Last week I trained, but there are minor back issues, so after rehabilitation, I'll be ready at 100%."

Overall, we've been waiting for this — the return to the sand. Such a difficult situation in the country right now. But thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we have the opportunity to prepare. All the guys were ready to start, and after New Year's, Mykola Petrovych Kostenko and Oleg Anatolievich Primachuk organized everything, and we all met with joy and started.

A very tight schedule awaits us, so a foundation needs to be laid now so that there are enough resources for the entire season,"— said Dmytro Voytenko.

Currently, the team is training twice a week, and from mid-February, an increase in the number of trainings to three times a week is planned.
