Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on January 29, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and fortieth day of the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy does not abandon its intentions to destroy critical infrastructure in our state, striking civilian objects and residential areas of peaceful civilians.

During the past day, Russian occupiers carried out one missile and 32 air strikes and conducted over 65 shelling operations with multiple rocket artillery systems (MLRS), including on civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk and Kherson regions. There are casualties among peaceful civilians.

The threat of air and missile strikes remains across all of Ukraine.

The enemy continues offensive actions on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlovsk axes. On the Kupyansk, Lyman, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson axes — it is conducting defense operations.

Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places of Dibrova and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast; Yamopolivka, Verkhnyokamyanske, Rozdolivka, Syl, Blagodatne, Paraskevivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klyshchyivka, Novomikhailivka, Vodyane, Mariinka, Pobeda and Volcharka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Volyn, Polissya, Sever, and Slobozhanskyi axes — no significant changes, no offensive groupings of the enemy have been detected.

On the Sever axis, the enemy shelled with mortars the areas of populated places Nikolayivka in Chernihiv Oblast and Novovasylivka, Seredyna-Buda, Muravevnya, Bachyvske, Budilne, Volkyvka, Volkhine, Yunakyvka on Sumy.

On the Slobozhanskyi axis, areas of populated places Huryivka Kozatskyi, Krasnoe, Staritsa, Ohrymovka, Glybokoye, Kozacha Lopan', Dvorichanske, Varvarivka, Novomlyn'ske, Dvoriche, Zapadne, Neskuchne, Terneva, Strilecha and Kupyansk in Kharkiv Oblast were shelled with mortars and artillery.

On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy shelled our positions in the areas of populated places Ivanivka, Kyslivka and Krokhmalne in Kharkiv Oblast, Novoselyvskane in Luhansk Oblast and Berestevo — Donetsk.

On the Lyman axis, Makieyivka, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova in Luhansk were shelled.

On the Bakhmut axis, areas of 21 populated places suffered artillery fire, including Spirene, White Mountain, Verkhnyokamyanske, Rozdolivka, Bakhmut, New York, Klyshchyivka, Kurdiumivka and Mayor'sk in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka axis, Berdytsi, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Nevelske, Vesela, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Pervomayske and Novomikhailivka came under enemy fire.

On the Novopavlovsk axis, Bihaylivka, Vuhledar and Zolotaya Nyiva in Donetsk Oblast were shelled by the enemy.

On the Zaporizhzhia axis 19 populated places suffered artillery fire. Among them — Veremyivka and Novopil on Donetsk, Malinivka, Chervone, Hulyaypole, Charivne, Stepanov, Orikhyv and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia.

On the Kherson axis, areas of populated places Mikhailivka, Havrylivka, Dudchani, Kachkarivka, Red Beacon, Odra-Kamyanka, Poniutivka, Respublyanets, Cossack and Tyagynka in Kherson were shelled with MLRS, artillery and mortars.

The enemy continues to suffer significant losses. Thus, up to 300 mercenaries of the so-called Wagner battalion were brought to a municipal multi-profile hospital in Yuvilevo in Luhansk Oblast. Since most of them are carriers of such diseases as HIV/SNID, syphilis, tuberculosis and pneumonia, doctors refuse to provide medical assistance.

The aviation of the Defense Forces carried out four strikes on areas of enemy concentration during the past day, while our missile troops and artillery hit two command points, two positions of air defense systems (ADSS) of the enemy, six areas of enemy troop concentration, ammunition depots and a radio-electronic warfare station.
