President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about new terrorist missile attacks by the aggressor and the EU's adoption of the ninth package of sanctions against Russia.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Firstly, I thank our air force fighters, our anti-aircraft troops, scouts, and everyone else who is defending or helping to defend Ukraine's skies. Today's result — 60 missiles shot down. All air command units distinguished themselves — "Center", "South", "East" and "West".

Especially noteworthy are the soldiers of the 96th anti-aircraft missile brigade, who cover Kyiv Oblast. Over 40 missiles were destroyed in the skies over central regions of Ukraine and near Kyiv. Thank you to all of you, warriors!

But unfortunately there have been hits. Terrorists need such a massive number of missile strikes for some of their "products" to reach their intended targets. All of their targets today — civilian ones, mostly energy and heating facilities. No doubt the meaning of the word "terrorism" will be associated primarily with these insane acts by Russia.

In Kryvyi Rih, a residential building that was hit by one of the Russian missiles is being cleared all day long. Three people have died so far. My condolences to all relatives... More than ten people were injured, including children. Assistance is being provided.

Power outages were implemented across the country today — in most cities and regions. Water supply was also cut off in Kyiv and 14 oblasts as a result of power cuts.

Our energy workers and repair crews started working even during air raid alerts to restore generation and supply. This takes time, but it will happen.

I ask all our people now to show patience and thank everyone who works to return normalcy at any cost. I also ask representatives of regional and local authorities to be more active in creating additional energy reserves. Please cooperate more actively with businesses so that more companies join the "Unbreakable Points" map.

And now, wherever possible, take care of those who find it hardest... The elderly, families with children, internally displaced persons from conflict areas or occupied territories. If you can help, please do.

No matter what missile enthusiasts in Moscow had hoped for, this will not change the balance of power in this war. They still have enough missiles for several such massive strikes. We have enough determination and faith in ourselves to return to normal after these strikes.

And one more thing.

The EU has adopted the ninth package of sanctions against Russia for the war. Ninth, but obviously not last. Because it's clear that pressure needs to be increased.

I thank all leaders and countries who fought for a stronger package.

But we will work with the European Commission, with EU country leaders, and with civil society in Europe so that existing sanctions policy works towards ending the war and does not send Russia wrong signals — signals that someone is ready to ease pressure.

I thank everyone who maintains principles!

Glory to all who work for our victory!

Glory to all our warriors heroically repelling Russian mercenaries' attempts to entrench themselves in Bakhmut! 17th Separate Tank Brigade, 46th Separate Airborne Brigade — glory to you, boys!

Glory to everyone who fights for Ukraine!

Air Force — thank you again!

And lastly. I will repeat this constantly. Dear partners, find a way to provide us with reliable air defense systems. This is saving people's lives.

Glory to Ukraine!»
