President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about the brutal Russian attacks in Donbas and confirming macro-financial assistance from the European Union for our country for next year.

Briefly on today's events.

First. There is confirmation of macro-financial assistance from the European Union for Ukraine next year. The amount - 18 billion euros. This is a good result.

Second. I spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau. A good conversation - preparing to strengthen our defense cooperation. Thank you, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and all Canadians for principled leadership in sanctions policy. Every sanction step against Russia for the war that has already been taken by the free world really helps us bring peace closer.

Third. Preparing important international events next week. What can give Ukraine more defense support this winter, more military opportunities.

During today's Russian shelling of Kherson, a shell hit the Red Cross aid point. A woman - paramedic, volunteer - died. My condolences to her family... Only since the beginning of this day Russia has already shelled Kherson over 16 times! In just one day! And so every day.

Today, communities in Kharkiv region were shelled again...

Today, as in all previous weeks, brutal Russian attacks are continuing in Donbas. The occupiers throw everything they have into the offensive. They cannot defeat our army, so they physically destroy every town and village, leaving no buildings, not even walls that can be used for any kind of defense...

The only way to stop this is to push Russian terrorists out of our Ukrainian land step by step. This means continuing the pressure on Russia. This means finding new ways to hold every Russian terrorist, every oligarch who helps the state-terrorist regime and all Russian officials and propagandists accountable for everything they do against Ukraine and freedom.

I thank everyone fighting and working for Ukraine! I thank those holding the front line in Donbas, in the south, those guarding the border, protecting our sky, protecting our people.
