President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, briefing on the frontline situation at key sectors and outlining the 10 points of Ukraine's peace formula.
"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!
Today I held an important conversation with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. We coordinated our positions ahead of next week’s G7 summit, which will be the concluding meeting of the "Group of Seven" for this year and where priorities for the coming year will also be set. We are preparing as much as possible in terms of necessary decisions for our countries – both Ukraine and the "Big Seven."
I thanked Mr. Prime Minister and all of the United Kingdom for their unwavering support to our country. We discussed the situation on the frontline and winter prospects on the battlefield.
The frontline situation remains extremely difficult at key sectors in Donbas – Bakhmut, Sverdlovsk, Mariinka, Kremenchuk... There is no place left untouched by shells and fire in these regions. The occupiers have effectively destroyed Bakhmut – another city of the Donbas that the Russian army turned into burnt ruins.
I thank all our heroes, all soldiers and commanders who are holding the frontline at these sectors, repelling attacks and inflicting significant losses on the enemy in response to the inferno brought to Ukraine under the Russian flag.
Today in Kyiv a conference was held that continued the line of events in our country and Europe this week and last week where we are working towards solutions for justice, accountability of Russia, and finding ways to free our people who are detained by occupiers.
We feel support both from states as well as international organizations and human rights institutions. We hope to be able to announce specific details soon.
By the way, with British Prime Minister we discussed the results of First Lady Ukraine’s visit to London and her speech in the UK Parliament. On behalf of our country Olena proposed to the United Kingdom to take a leadership role regarding justice – by establishing a special tribunal on Russia’s aggression crime. This is one of the points of Ukraine's peace formula, and it is very important for me to see now in international communication that global leaders are indeed hearing Ukrainian peace proposals.
I remind you that the peace formula consists of ten points – from nuclear security to restoring territorial integrity of our country, from energy security to returning all military prisoners and deportees held on Russian territory. This is now one of the key tasks for our state – to engage the world in concrete implementation of the peace formula's points. We must return the Ukrainian flag to every city and community of Ukraine, we must ensure real accountability of the terrorist state for this war, and we must guarantee security for all generations of Ukrainians after the end of this war.
Every day of our Defense Forces’ heroic resistance, of all our people brings us closer to that day when all of Ukraine will finally feel victory – real and reliable.
Today I presented the Ukrainian view on steps towards peace at an international forum in Istanbul. There I focused on food security – on Ukrainian initiatives adding weight to our state globally. This is the export grain initiative and Grain from Ukraine – "Grain from Ukraine."
On these examples, transparent and beneficial for our people, for the Black Sea region and for the entire global community, we demonstrate that restoring security is entirely possible. The key is decisiveness. President Erdogan who was at the forum, I am sure, heard our position.
We are already preparing for a very important next week – there will be significant international events. Today I held relevant meetings. I believe – there will also be significant decisions for our state.
Glory to every and each one who fights for Ukraine!
Thank you all who work for the sake of our people!
Eternal memory to all those who gave their lives for independence!
Glory to Ukraine!"
