We remind you that Ukrainians have planned two friendlies. Today, on the field at Tbilisi Sea Technical Center Stadium, they will meet with Israel's youth national team, and on the 21st — in Gorhi, which is 60 km from the Georgian capital, with Georgia's youth national team. The start of both matches will be at 18:00 local time (16:00 Kyiv time). It should be noted that both opponents of Ukraine are also participants in Euro-2023 (U-21): Georgia as hosts and Israel defeated Poland, Hungary (in the group stage) and Ireland (in the play-offs).

Unfortunately, we have some personnel losses. We are missing a number of players, but this is football... Of course, it would be nice if all the boys were ready for the matches, but we understand that now is the end of the first half of the season. Nevertheless, nothing terrible. We are a team and we are capable of preparing.
We have an upcoming match against a worthy opponent. As you know, Israel's national team, like ours, has qualified for the final stage of Euro-2023 and is also preparing for it. We have similar tasks with our opponents. We are checking out new players. Our work is intense. There will be no slackening," — said head coach of Ukraine's youth national team Ruslan Rotan before the friendly match.

The coach explained to us his tactical scheme, told us what he expects from us on the football field, as there are many new players in the team, such as myself. Despite this, we know each other very well. Although we haven't seen each other for a long time, there is a great atmosphere in the group. We are only focused on victory. I have never played against opponents of this level personally, but we had theoretical sessions. The coach explained how our opponents play and how we need to play against them," — said defender of Latvian Valmiera Roman Yakuba.
