The Dynamo players started the game not badly, for example, Vanat missed a good shot from position on the 10th minute. However, gradually Fenerbahçe took control. On the 23rd minute, the Turks went ahead in the score — Bushchan made an error against Valencía in one-on-one situation, and 17-year-old Güler put the ball into an empty net.

Later, Dynamo's defenders "brought" a goal to themselves by giving the ball away to Valencía, who passed Bushchan but missed from a sharp angle. However, just before halftime, the Istanbul team scored again — Arao headed in Güler’s corner kick.

In the second half, Dynamo had little to offer near the opponent's goal. Moreover, on the 60th minute Bushchan denied Valencía a goal in one-on-one situation. Later, Zabarnyi received his second yellow card and was sent off, leaving his team short-handed. In the end, the white-and-blue were unable to change the disappointing score — 0:2.
