Irek Gataullin, President of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union "Football of Ukraine," participated in the 2022 FIFA Players' Association General Assembly held from October 25 to 27 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Over three intensive days, more than 140 delegates—representatives of member associations and players from around the world—worked on shaping the strategy and action plans for FIFA Players' Association for 2022–2025, holding fruitful seminars on player organization, commercial activities, abuses, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

During the assembly meetings, other agenda items were also discussed, including:

— football technologies and innovations;

— global labor resource priorities;

— player legal protection;

— analysis of member organization data;

— potential future trends;

— relations with stakeholders.

Honored guests—representatives of interested parties also spoke, responded to concerns and answered questions from FIFA Players' Association members. This includes Emilio Garcia (Head Legal Specialist and Compliance Officer) and Ornella Bellia (Director of Professional Football Relations), as well as Forum of World Leagues President Enrique Bonilla, who highlighted the importance of the global agreement signed on September 26 this year with FIFA Players' Association for the professional football industry. The implementation of the agreement aims to stabilize the professional football environment by strengthening representation of employers and employees at a global level and promoting fair working conditions in football.

During breaks between assembly sessions, Irek Gataullin held meetings with FIFA Players' Association President David Aganzo, General Secretary of the organization Jonas Baer-Hoffmann, and European Division President Bobby Barnes, informing the leadership about the state of professional football in Ukraine and the association's participation in restoring professional competitions, as well as thanking them for their solidarity stance and support for Ukrainian players.
