Note to attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on October 5, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and twenty-fourth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is trying to hold temporarily occupied territories, concentrating efforts on attempts to disrupt active actions of the Defense Forces at certain sectors, does not cease conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes. The adversary is redeploying units of its troops at certain sectors.

The enemy shelled positions of our forces along the line of contact, carries out remote mine-laying in certain areas of territory, and conducts aerial reconnaissance. It strikes civilian infrastructure and housing of peaceful residents, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war.

There remains a threat of air and missile strikes across all of Ukraine's territory. Thus, during the past day, the occupiers delivered nine missile and six aerial strikes, carried out over 56 shelling with multiple rocket launchers.

As a result of enemy attacks, objects and civilian population suffered in more than 27 populated areas. Among them are Kharkiv, Shipyvatyie, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Mayorshchyna, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Andriyivka, Bilohirka, Voskennysia, Pridniprovske.

On the Volyn and Polissya axes, there are no significant changes in the situation.

At other sectors, the enemy carried out shelling:

on the Northern axis — with artillery fire in the areas of populated places Pysaryvka and Holishevske of Sumy region;

on the Slobozhanskyi axis — from tanks, mortars, artillery and rocket launchers in the areas of populated places Granyv, Horetskove, Hatsishche, Vovchansk and Bilyy Kolyadyz;

on the Kramatorskyi axis — from mortars, artillery and rocket launchers in the areas of populated places Bilohorivka, Serhiyanka and Spirene.

On the Bakhmutskyi axis, the enemy shelled the areas of populated places Solydar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoye, Otradivka, Zaytseve, Opitne, Yakovlivka and Yurievka.

On the Avdiyivskyi, Novopavlovskyi and Zaporizhzhia axes, infrastructure in more than 24 populated areas suffered from enemy shelling with tanks, mortars, artillery and rocket launchers, including Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Mariinka, Novopolie, Olhivske, Pervomaisk.

On the Southern Buzhskyi axis, areas of populated places Vyshchytarasivka, Dobraya Nadia, Illinka, Marhanets, Chernogryhorivka, Nikopol, Pokrovskoye, Velyke Artakove, Andriyivka, Stepanova Dolina, Bezimenne, Miren, Luch, Shirokoe, Bilohirka and Losovoye suffered from shelling with tanks, mortars, artillery and rocket launchers.

During the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of populated places Strilecha, Zeleno, Mayorshchyna, Spirene, Zaytseve, Bakhmutskoye, Bakhmut, Kurdyumivka, Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar.

While leaving populated places in the Kherson region, the enemy mines infrastructure objects and private housing, prohibiting any movement of local residents.

According to available information, on temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, medical supplies are lacking for treating wounded occupiers at medical facilities in the city of Yevpatoria.

The enemy has problems with certain types of support during the so-called «partial mobilization». Thus, a conscripted personnel contingent from the training center Molchikino Krasnodar region was sent back to Primorsko-Akhtarsk due to inability to accommodate, equip and feed the specified category of military servicemen.

The Russian occupation authorities are trying to compensate for losses in personnel strength at the expense of conscription of local population from temporarily occupied and occupied territories of Ukraine. Thus, according to available information, men from Luhansk without medical examination and preparation after mobilization are immediately directed for reinforcement of units that suffered the greatest losses.

In the evening of October 3 of this year, the Defense Forces of Ukraine delivered strikes on pontoon and ferry crossings of the enemy across the Dnipro river in Kherson region. Enemy losses are being verified.

The destruction of a S-300 air defense missile system in the area of Tokmak city was confirmed, as well as damage to enemy positions in the areas of populated places Hulyaypole and Orilhiv Zaporizhzhia region.

Aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 17 strikes over a day. Confirmation of four command posts damaged, eleven areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, as well as two air defense missile systems of the enemy being hit was confirmed. In addition, our anti-aircraft units at various sectors shot down one helicopter and two UAVs of the enemy.

Rocket forces and artillery damaged two command points, four areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, one air defense missile system, as well as a bridge and pontoon crossing of the enemy.
