"Ukrainians! Ukrainian women!
I just participated in a high-level meeting on food security. This meeting took place on the sidelines of another UN General Assembly.
The topic of food security is strategically important for our country. It is what we have—and must preserve—a global role in. It gives us economic strength and reinforces our moral leadership. Leadership of a people who help others even when they themselves are struggling.
We are implementing the UN Food Programme and helping African countries. We have restored our maritime agricultural exports, which allows us to export our agricultural products to countries on three continents already.
We are working to open up markets in Latin America and other important parts of the world for our producers.
Tomorrow I will participate in general debates at the UN General Assembly. Of course, it will be in video format. But regardless of the format, our country's position will sound clear and weighty as always. Especially since First Lady Olena has already begun her visit to the United States, meetings within the framework of the UN General Assembly have started.
Olena has met with First Ladies of Poland and Lithuania—this is our Lublin Triangle format. She also received nine wives of presidents and prime ministers from various countries at the Ukrainian Institute in America during a Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen. This is the first such event within our cooperation format. Important decisions are expected after meetings between Prime Minister Shmygal and leaders of other states on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Today I spoke with American friends of our country—within the Clinton Global Initiative—as well as representatives of leading US investment circles. There was a great interest in Ukraine, its reconstruction, and our opportunities. A clear faith in Ukraine. Good knowledge about the situation in our country. We are developing our relations with the United States at all levels.
I spoke with President Erdogan of Turkey. The key topic—security.
Head of Office Andriy Yermak held another conversation today with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. Very useful, substantive and effective.
We continue stabilization measures in areas that have been liberated from Russian occupation. More facts of Russian atrocities are being fixed—people show where the occupiers had burial pits, where they buried the bodies of those killed, give evidence about who helped the occupiers.
I thank all law enforcement officials involved in establishing the truth about occupier crimes. I thank everyone helping them. This is a colossal job needed for justice and to hold accountable every person guilty of crimes against Ukrainians.
The situation on the front clearly shows that initiative—belongs to Ukraine. Our defenders are very carefully and bravely completing tasks set by command.
I would like to especially highlight today the 81st Independent Airborne Brigade—for its bravery in liberating populated areas in Donetsk. And also the 93rd Independent Mechanized Brigade—for heroic defense of Bakhmut and Soledar. Thank you! Thank you to all our heroes!
Of course, today there are quite noisy news from Russia. Many questions about this. But what actually happened? What was said that wasn't heard before?
Our positions—clear and well known. Only these should interest us. Not what is being said somewhere but what is our task.
More support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more support for intelligence, more support for Special Operations Forces, more support for Security Service of Ukraine, National Guard, police, border guards—for everyone who gradually restores our territorial integrity.
Our positions do not change from noise or any announcements from there. And we have full support for this from our partners.
We inform all international relations actors about what is happening. And we see understanding not only from our partners but also from those states that tried to stay neutral in our struggle. There will be steps supporting Ukraine under such circumstances and from key international organizations.
So, we maintain pressure. We maintain unity. We defend Ukraine. We liberate our land. And show no weakness.
And I thank all friends and partners of Ukraine for today's massive principled condemnation of Russia's attempts to stage yet another fake referendum.
Glory to everyone who defends our country!
Glory to our wonderful people!
Glory to Ukraine!"
