Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 16, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and fifth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate efforts on disrupting active actions of our troops along certain axes, holding temporarily occupied territories, and attempting a full occupation of Donetsk Oblast.

The adversary is shelling our positions along the line of contact, trying to carry out redeployment measures along certain axes, conducting air reconnaissance. There remains a threat of aerial and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine.

The enemy inflicts attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure objects, violating international humanitarian law norms, laws, and customs of war. As a result of aerial and missile strikes and the use by the adversary of MLRS, over 30 settlements' infrastructure was affected yesterday. Among them are Kostiantynivka, Druzhkivka, Kupiansk, Severodonetsk, New York, Mariinka, Hulaipol, Myronivskyi, and Veliky Artakovo.

The enemy carried out 11 missile strikes, 15 air attacks, and conducted 96 artillery shelling of objects on the territory of Ukraine.

On the Volynian and Polesian directions, the situation has not changed.

On other axes, the enemy shelled infrastructure with tanks and various types of artillery:

on the Northern direction — in the area of Lugivka village, Sumy Oblast;

on the Kharkiv direction, including from the territory of the Russian Federation — in the areas of Hoptivka, Kozatska Lopan, Mala Vovcha, Zybino, and Strelchya;

on the Sloviansk direction — Dvoricheva and Horokhivka;

on the Kramatorsk direction — Pryshyb, Tytianivka, Kriva Luka, Ozerne, Piskunyvka, Raihorodok, Starodybivka, Bihorivka, Severodonetsk, Rozdolivka, and Spirne;

on the Bakhmut direction — New York, Lyman, Mykolaivka Second, Zaitseve, Otradivka, Siversky Donets, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskiy, Yakovlivka, and Vesela;

on the Avdiyivka direction — Mariinka, Krasnogorivka, Perevomayske, Avdiivka, and Vodyane.

On the Novoazovskiy and Zaporizhzhya directions, the enemy did not conduct active actions. Conducted shelling along the entire line of contact.

On the South Buzhok direction, artillery fire from the adversary was fixed along the entire line of contact. In addition, occupiers conducted UAV reconnaissance and carried out 34 flights of tactical aviation for strikes on territory of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya oblasts.

The enemy is trying to hide massive losses after artillery hits in places where the Ukrainian forces inflicted damage. As a result of effective high-precision attacks in areas around settlements such as Kherson, Vasilivka, Perevalsk and others, Russian soldiers' bodies were transported out of overcrowded trucks.

Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled attacks in the areas of Otradivka, Zaitseve, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolina, Avdiivka, and Novomykhailivka.

During the past day, to support ground units' actions, aviation of Ukrainian defense forces carried out 18 strikes on enemy concentrations of live force and equipment. Confirmed damage to thirteen strongholds, areas of weapons and military equipment concentration, and five positions of air defense complexes. Enemy losses are being clarified.

Subunits of the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine in various directions destroyed two UAVs of occupiers.

Subunits of rocket forces and artillery inflicted fire impact on three areas of enemy live force and combat equipment concentration. The zone of damage included logistics nodes and pontoon bridges of the adversary.
