Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 18, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred seventy-sixth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate efforts on establishing full control over the territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, maintaining temporarily occupied areas in Kherson and parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions, creating favorable conditions for resuming offensive operations along certain axes, as well as blocking Ukraine's maritime communications in the Black Sea.

Aircraft and missile strikes continue against military and civilian objects on Ukrainian territory.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions there have been no significant changes. Units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to carry out tasks aimed at reinforcing security along the Belarus-Ukraine border in Brest and Gomel regions.

There remains a threat of enemy missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of the Republic of Belarus.

On the Northern Direction the enemy continues to deploy units of the Russian Federation's Armed Forces in border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions with the aim of restraining the actions of Defense Forces units.

The enemy shelled villages Vovkivka, Yastrubine, and Popivka in Sumy region with field artillery.

On the Slobozhansky Direction the enemy continues to conduct combat operations aimed at maintaining previously occupied positions and preventing the advance of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

On the Kharkiv Direction the enemy carried out fire strikes with tanks, field artillery, and multiple rocket launchers in the areas of villages Karasivka, Pyrivka, Bazaliyivka, Rytischevka, Duvanka, Ivanivka, Mospanove, Lisne, Velyki Prohody, Pitomnik, Husaryvka, and Chepyl.

Carried out remote mine-laying near Lebyazhye.

On the Slovyansky Direction the enemy shelled areas of Velika Komishova, Vyrnopillya, Adamivka, and Dovgennya with artillery.

On the Kramatorsky Direction the enemy shelled areas of Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Sporny, Donetsk, Ivan-Daryvka, Severna, Zvanivka, and Raygorodka with tanks and multiple rocket launchers. Carried out an air strike near Veseloye.

Launched an offensive towards Mykolayivka — Vyimka, without success, withdrew.

On the Bakhmutsky Direction enemy shelling was observed near Bakhmut, Sverdlovsk, Rozdolovka, Kodema, and Mayorshchyna.

Occupants conducted offensives towards Volodymyrivka — Sverdlosk, Pokrovsko — Bakhmutsky, Pokrovsko — Bakhmut, Klinove — Bakhmut, Semigirya — Zaytseve, Semigirya — Kodema, and Holmivske — Zaytseve. On none of the offensive axes achieved any positive results and withdrew with losses.

On the Avdiyivsky Direction the enemy carried out shelling near Avdiivka, Mariinka, Oleksandropol, Pisky, First Mayorske, and Opitne with field artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and tanks.

Launched an offensive towards Luhanske — First Mayorske, without success, withdrew.

On the Novopavlivsky and Zaporizhzhia Directions the enemy is defending occupied areas. Shelled villages Novosilka, Novomikhaylivka, Bogoyavlenska, Stepnogirsk, Shevchenko, Burlyatske, Zaliznychne, Hulaiypilske, Lukianivske, Preobrazhenka, and Poltavka.

Conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs near Poltavka, Hulaypole, Malynivka, Green Grove, Shcherbakiv, and Novoyakovlivka.

Attempted to conduct storming actions towards Yegorivka — Shevchenkove, without success, withdrew.

On the South Buzhsky Direction enemy forces are concentrating efforts on maintaining occupied areas and restraining the actions of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

Shelling was recorded near villages Mykolayiv, Stepova Dolina, Luch, Posad-Pokrovsko, Halytsynove, Oleksandrivka, Miren, Shyroke, Kvitneve, Kyselyvka, Kobzarki, First Mayorske, Kavkaz, Murakhivka, Andriyivka, Osokorivka, Ivanivka, and Trudolyubivka.

The enemy carried out air strikes near Bila Krinitsa, Blagodatne, as well as the valley of Hutirskaya.

Conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs in areas around villages Bilohirka, Luhanske, First Mayorske, Oleksandrivka, Trudolyubivka, Osokorivka, and Ivanivka.

According to available information, two naval-based cruise missile carriers are ready for use of high-precision weapons.
