Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 12, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred seventy day heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to inflict air and missile strikes on both military and civilian objects in the territory of Ukraine. The aviation group of the adversary supports the actions of ground units with a focus of main efforts on the Donetsk direction.

In the Volyn, Polesie, and Northern directions, no significant changes have been observed. Demonstrative actions aimed at tying down our units continue. Additional measures are being taken to strengthen the security of the Ukrainian-Russian border area in Bryansk Oblast.

In the Kharkiv direction the enemy carried out artillery shelling using field and rocket artillery near the populated areas of Lebiazhie, Sosnovka, Ukraine, Demeniyevka, Pitomnik, Ruski Tishky, Cherkaсky Tishky, Shevelivka, Protopyovka, Verkhniy Saltiv, Tsirkuni, Stara Hnylytsya, Gusaryvka, Korobochkino. Air strikes were inflicted near Rtyshchevka and Verkhniy Saltiv.

In the Siverskyi direction shelling was recorded around Vyrnopillya, Bogorodichne, Shnurki, Kurulky, Krasnopillya, Dolyna, and Zalizman. Near the latter, the enemy also carried out an air strike. The adversary is attempting to replenish losses in manpower and equipment.

In the Kramatorsk direction the enemy shelled with field and rocket artillery areas around Severnyy, Grygoriyivka, Serhiyivka, and Verkhokamyanskyi.

An offensive was launched towards the populated areas of Verkhokamyanske and Ivan-Daryivka but it did not succeed and the enemy withdrew.

In the Bakhmut direction the enemy carried out shelling with tanks and artillery near Pereyezdnoe, Veseloye, Bakhmut, Sverdlovskiy, Kurdyumivka. The aviation was involved near Viyimka, Ivan-Daryivka, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Sverdlovskiy, and Bakhmut.

As a result of the offensive towards Gorlovka — Zaytseve, the enemy partially succeeded.

The enemy launched offensive battles in the direction of populated areas Ivan-Daryivka, Viyimka, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolina and Kodema but did not succeed and withdrew. After regrouping, he renewed the attack on Kodema; combat operations are ongoing.

In the Avdiivka direction artillery shelling was recorded near Vodyanyi, Oleksandropol, Avdiyivka, and Pisky. The enemy carried out air strikes near Marinka and Vodyanyi.

The occupiers attempted to launch offensive battles in the areas of Spartak and Marinka but did not succeed and withdrew. Combat operations are ongoing around the village of Pisky.

In the Novopavlovka and Zaporizhzhya directions shelling was recorded near populated areas Mala Tokmachka, Malinivka, Lykhanivske, Hulyaypole, Shcherbaki, Volodymyrivka, Bogoyavlenska, Novodanylivka, Orikhyv, Novopil, Novosylikha and Zaliznytsya. The enemy carried out air strikes near Vuhledar, Malyye Shcherbaky and Novomikhailivka.

In the South Buzhak direction to tie down our units' actions, the enemy shelled positions of the Defense Forces and objects of civilian infrastructure in areas around populated places Ukraine, Posad-Pokrovskoye, Lupareve, Stepova Dolyna, Novogrigoriyevka, Vesely Kut, Shirokoe, Kobzarki, Kavkaz, Bila Krinitsa, Lepetykhivka, Topolino, Ivanivka, Potyomkin and Trudolyubivka.

Air strikes were inflicted near Osokorivka, Andriyivka, Blagodatne, Novogrigoriyevka and Mirovyye. Conducted aerial reconnaissance by UAVs.

The enemy's naval group focuses its main efforts on conducting reconnaissance, blocking civilian maritime traffic in the northwestern part of the Black Sea and striking military objects and infrastructure elements deep within Ukrainian territory.

Two of their carriers are ready for the use of cruise missiles.

Ukrainian defenders inflict losses on Russian occupiers in all directions where active combat operations are ongoing.
