Tuesday in Dutch Alphen aan den Rijn, the wards of Volodymyr Yezersky played the second match of the elite round qualification for Euro 2022 (U-19).

In the first round of the Euro 2022 elite round qualifier, Ukraine's U-19 youth team (players born in 2003 or later) defeated Norway (3:2) and today, as group leaders, faced Serbia.

Both teams began the match cautiously, neither wanting to take risks. It's worth noting that the first shot on goal was taken in the 14th minute. Kozik's shot was blocked, but the Ukrainians pushed forward. Tzarenko twice attempted a goal. However, unfortunately, the ball went into Ukraine's net. The scorer of the goal at the 18th minute was Ilic. Nevertheless, this did not faze Yezersky's wards who equalized the score at the 22nd minute. With a pass from Yarmoluk, Kvasnitsia scored. 1:1.

After that, the game again took on a calm pace as opponents understood that the cost of a mistake was very high. Thus, there were no goal-scoring opportunities until halftime.

In the second half debut, the Serbs increased their tempo and the play began to occur more on Ukraine's half of the field. However, blue-and-yellow played securely in defense, trying to counterattack safely. The end of the meeting took place in a nervous battle where in this component Ukrainian footballers did not yield to their opponents. 1:1.

We remind you that for qualifying for the final tournament, Ukrainians need to take first place in the group.
