Note for attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 9, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The seventy-fifth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to conduct a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

The adversary does not stop conducting offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone with the aim of establishing complete control over the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as maintaining a land corridor between these territories and the occupied Crimea.

The highest activity of the occupiers is observed on the Slovozhensky and Donetsk axes.

At the same time, there remains a high probability of missile strikes against the entire territory of Ukraine.

In the Volynsky, Polesky, and Northern Axes no signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings have been detected. Certain units of the Republic of Belarus continue to carry out tasks related to strengthening the security of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.

In the Slovozhensky Axis, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations. He focuses on regrouping units, replenishing ammunition and fuel supplies, maintaining previously occupied positions, and preventing the advance of Ukrainian Defense Forces units towards the state border.

In the Izium Axis the enemy's units from the 1st Tank Army, Western Military District’s 20th Combined Arms Army, Eastern Military District’s 29th, 35th, and 36th Armies, as well as the 68th Army Corps, mainly concentrate efforts on preparing for further offensive operations along the Sulighivka — Nova Dmitrivka and Sulighivka — Kurulka axes.

To prevent the advance of Ukrainian Armed Forces units, the enemy has deployed up to nineteen battalion tactical groups in the territory of Russia’s Belgorod region. Personnel and military equipment are being redeployed for the replenishment of units that have suffered significant losses on Ukrainian territory.

In the Donetsk Axis the adversary, with air support and artillery fire, mainly focuses on attempts to seize control over populated areas such as Rubizhne and Popasna, preparing for further offensive operations towards Siversk, Sloviansk, Lysychansk, and Avdiivka. He has increased firepower and is attempting to break through our defenses.

In the Tavriysky Axis the enemy conducts demonstrative actions aimed at tying up Ukrainian forces and improving logistical support systems.

In the South-Bug Axis the enemy did not conduct active combat operations. He focused on shelling positions of our units using available artillery means, including multiple rocket launchers.

On temporarily occupied territory in Zaporizhzhia region, cases were noted of the unjustified confiscation of personal documents from local residents, with their return contingent upon participation in Victory Day ceremonies.

In the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the enemy actively prepared for parade celebrations.

The situation in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova has not changed. Local military formations and units of the Russian military group remain in full combat readiness.

Over the previous day, air defense units of the Air Force and Ground Forces shot down ten aerial targets of Russian occupiers, including six unmanned aerial vehicles of the «Orlan-10» type, one UAV of the «Forpost» type, and three cruise missiles.

In the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled six enemy attacks over the past day, destroying 20 tanks, one artillery system, 28 units of armored combat vehicles, one special armored vehicle, and five units of motorized equipment.
