The UEFA Referees Committee has approved the list of main referees and their assistants who will work at the finals of the Women's Euro 2022, which will take place in England from July 6 to 31.

It is pleasant that two Ukrainians have joined the registry: among the main referees is Kateryna Monzul, and among the assistants — Marina Strilecka.

The full list can be viewed here on the UEFA website.

Note that according to the cooperation agreement between UEFA and CONMEBOL, within the framework of the exchange program, as well as at the men's Euro 2020, a referee from South America also joined the women's European championship refereeing corps.

Alongside Europeans, Emilkar Calderas Barrera from Venezuela will work at the tournament matches. A bit later it will be determined which European referee team will travel to Colombia in July to officiate at the Women's South American Championship.

Each refereeing team will consist of a main referee, two assistants, a fourth official and two video assistant referees (VAR) on-site.

For the first time, video assistants will work at all matches of the final tournament of UEFA among women.

UEFA Referees Committee President Roberto Rosetti: "We had to make a difficult choice as to who would go to the Women's Euro, since we had a wide selection of qualified and progressing referees.

We evaluated the referees during preparatory courses, as well as based on their work at UEFA tournaments and know that those referees we have selected will do everything for clear and consistent decisions in the final tournament.

Several more referees are worth working at matches of the decisive stage of the UEFA Women's Champions League, while the entire refereeing team can focus on tasks set by the summer premiere in England."
