General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 12:00 14.03.2022)

Note to your attention — operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 12.00 on March 14, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

The heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion is now in its nineteenth day.

Russian occupation forces, carrying out criminal orders from the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation, continue their offensive operation against Ukraine.

However, as of today, the main tasks to destroy units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reach administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and establish control over the left-bank part of Ukraine have not been fulfilled by the enemy.

On the Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih Directions, occupation forces are halted.

Failing to achieve significant success, the enemy continues systematic combat actions with air bombardment aimed at destroying military and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. They use high-yield weapons of indiscriminate effect against peaceful civilians. Such actions are classified as war crimes under international humanitarian law.

On the Volyn Direction, enemy forces continue efforts to strengthen security along the Ukrainian-Belarusian border with units of Belarus Armed Forces, conducting aerial reconnaissance of certain areas near the state border using UAVs.

On the Polissya Direction, Russian occupation forces do not give up attempts to overcome the defensive line along the Irpin River and consolidate in the vicinity of populated points such as Bucha and Irpin. They are trying to organize defensive actions. Preparations are being made for diversionary-reconnaissance groups to operate under the guise of Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen.

On the Northern Direction, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations today. It is regrouping with the aim of renewing attempts to advance towards Kyiv.

On the Slobozhanskyi Direction, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on restoring losses incurred due to a decisive counter-offensive near the city of Kharkiv and a counter-attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Izium area.

On the Donetsk and Crimean Directions, the enemy continues active combat operations. Due to numerical superiority on certain fronts, it achieves partial success.

On the Southern Buzhskyi Direction, the enemy attempts to continue its advance towards Kryvyi Rih. It has consolidated at the lines it reached and is regrouping troops and replenishing supplies. It does not give up attempts to encircle Mykolaiv.

Russian occupiers continue to accumulate reserves on their territory for waging war against Ukraine. Mercenary units are being formed, who are willing to carry out criminal orders of Russian commanders in exchange for payment. According to available information, recruitment centers have been opened in Syria where over a thousand individuals were recruited within the last few days; nearly 400 people have already arrived in Russia. Near the Ukrainian border in Rostov (Russia) and Gomel (Belarus) regions, camps are being set up for their accommodation and training.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in conjunction with other defense components, hold back the enemy, inflict significant losses on its manpower and military equipment, demoralizing it both in combat zones and in reserve formation areas.

We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
