Sergiy Rebrov led the national team in 2023 already during the selection cycle for the European Championship. Despite this, he managed to overcome historically difficult playoff matches for our team and bring Ukraine to Euro. After that, we almost remained in contention until the very last minute for qualification to the World Cup, but failing to get there did not succeed.

“We thank Sergiy Stanislavovych for his work and contribution to the development of young footballers. Today, we need to move forward and adopt new decisions that will become the foundation of the future national team,” said Ukrainian Football Association President Andriy Shevchenko.

Sergiy Rebrov continues to be part of the UAFA team in the role of Vice-President and a member of the Executive Committee.

“I am grateful to the entire team and fans for the stage we have gone through. It was a difficult path with victories and defeats, but Ukrainians supported the national team all along. These moments of unity are ones I will never forget and for which I will always be grateful. Also, thank UAFA for constant support, encouragement, and joint work,” said Sergiy Rebrov.

Who will become the new head coach of the Ukrainian national team will be announced later.
