A seminar of the "Talentikos" project took place in Vinnytsia — an initiative of the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA) that is being implemented with support from the UAF Foundation. The event gathered parents, coaches, and managers working in children's football.

"Talentikos" is an ecosystem of contemporary football that combines sports, entertainment, technology, and education. The project was created to help young players realize their potential in a comfortable environment, while adults around them — parents and coaches — better understand their role in this process.

Seminar Topics

The educational program consisted of two blocks:

  • "Parents as Partners in Development." Participants discussed the impact of family on a child's sports journey, including issues of support, reactions to defeats, and interaction with coaches.
  • "Managers as the Foundation for Child Development Environment." This covered the role of organizational work in creating conditions for effective interaction between coaches, parents, and children.

Participants discussed that a child's result in sports depends not only on the training process but also on the environment shaped by family, coach, and organizers.

The seminar is the first part of a two-day event. On the second day, there will be a football festival for children during which approaches discussed at the seminar will be applied in practice.
