A distinctive feature of this year's season is that ZAF (Zaporizhzhia Football Association) is organizing festivals entirely on its own — with the help of their volunteers and coaches — and plans to cover all regions of the country. The first one was held in Kamianska Territorial Community on Berehivshchyna.

The goal of the festival is to provide psychosocial support to children and all those affected by the war through football, as well as to engage boys and girls aged 9 to 13 in sports. A total of 100 schoolchildren participated, along with physical education teachers, coaches, and young volunteers — high school students from Siletsky Lyceum.

Participants were divided into six teams that went through six thematic locations. Here children not only mastered football skills but also learned to provide first aid, inspected a fire truck, found out more about mine safety and traffic rules. The psychological component of the project was handled by ZAF psychologist Diana Sember.

At the end of the event, all participants received gifts, medals, and certificates, while physical education teachers were given new balls for their schools. The festival concluded with group photos and a sea of bright emotions.

The "Open Football Festivals" project is psychosocial support for children of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, children of internally displaced persons, and those affected by war, an inclusive environment for all children regardless of ability level or gender, knowledge about safety in wartime conditions, fostering a healthy lifestyle, and developing volunteerism in communities.
