Olena Balbek, the director of the Strategic Development and Sustainability Department at the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA), delivered a speech and participated in a discussion panel during the concluding forum of the "Carpathian Change" rehabilitation project for children from frontline regions.

The project is implemented with support from President Volodymyr Zelensky by OVA and UFA in Zakarpattya, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi regions. Over the past 28 days, camps in 13 regions have accommodated over 1700 children of military personnel and security service members.

In her speech, Balbek emphasized that UFA coaches provided the sports component at the camps by introducing children to football — this partnership fully aligns with the association's mission of helping children recover through sport during wartime.

Olena also participated in a panel titled "Impact of Project Results on Shaping New Human Capital Development Policy," where they discussed the prospects for using the results of "Carpathian Change" to inform state policy.
