Uzhhorod has joined the list of cities hosting "Talentocos" — a project by the Ukrainian Football Association that is supported by the UAF Foundation. This is not just an ordinary seminar, but a space where football meets education, and adults learn to create conditions in which children's talent can flourish.

The idea around which the meeting was built is simple: no future football player grows in isolation. What kind of player and person a child becomes depends not only on training hours. Everything else influences it — parents' words after a match, the atmosphere in the team, how well thought out the entire process is. In Uzhhorod, they talked about this openly and matter-of-factly.
 

What is the "Talentocos" seminar about?

The educational part was divided into two thematic directions:

• "Parents — partners in development." This was about the role of the family, which is often underestimated. It is at home that a child's attitude towards wins and losses, discipline, and the game itself forms. The main thesis is that parents should stop being mere spectators on the stands and become true allies to the coach.
• "Managers — the foundation of a child's development environment." Organizational work rarely takes center stage, yet it holds everything else together. A manager is the one who builds the system in which coaches can train calmly, parents can support, and children can simply play and enjoy themselves.

The informal part was no less valuable than the lectures. Participants actively communicated, shared their own stories and experiences, found like-minded people — individuals who are equally concerned about the future of children's football in Ukraine.

Two days, one philosophy

The seminar is only half of "Talentocos." The next day the floor goes to the main heroes of the project: children come out for a football festival, full of movement, excitement, and genuine emotions.

And it is here that the main idea comes to life. Everything adults discuss at the seminar literally comes alive on the field — in how parents cheer, how coaches talk with players, and what the overall atmosphere of the event is like. Knowledge does not remain theoretical but immediately turns into action.

For the main principle of "Talentocos" remains unchanged from city to city: a child truly wins when adults work in harmony — as one team. And with each new city, such teams are becoming more numerous in Ukraine.
