A selection camp for candidates for the Ukraine U-15 national team has been held

Under the leadership of head coach Volodymyr Samborskyi, representatives from various clubs of the National League of the Future and other children's-youth tournaments participated in the training event. In total, the coaching staff reviewed 66 young football players.

During the gathering, potential candidates for the youth team had the opportunity to demonstrate their qualities during training sessions and friendly matches. It should be noted that such selection reviews are planned to become regular for youth teams of different age categories.

Volodymyr Samborskyi, coach of the Ukraine U-15 youth team:

"I evaluate such gatherings very positively. We pay great attention to the U-15 team. This event was a viewing and selection process. A total of 66 players were reviewed, divided into two groups of 33 each. This team is just forming, so we will be observing them in club matches.

Firstly, we needed to get acquainted with the boys, observe their behavior not only on the field but also off it. We are interested in their individual preparation. This is the most important for the future. I believe that club academies should primarily prepare the individual qualities of football players. Not teamwork or fighting for results, but, repeating myself, individual qualities.

Honestly, we were a bit disappointed with the level of the players. Perhaps this is due to vacation, and the players do not yet have the appropriate game tone. Yes, they worked at home according to programs provided by their clubs. But perhaps the anxiety about the first call played some role."
