April 8 in Mykolaiv, a seminar for youth football schools coaches of «Manchester City Philosophy and Methodology Academy» took place. The event gathered over fifty coaches from the city and Mykolaiv region.

The seminar is part of a nationwide series conducted by UAF in each region of the country. The goal — to give coaches an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the principles of one of the strongest and most innovative football academies in the world. This became possible thanks to cooperation between UAF and the English club, officially established in spring 2024.

Previously, 20 Ukrainian coaches underwent a training program directly on the Manchester City base, where they mastered the modern philosophy of the club and learned academy training methods by observing practices of both youth and adult teams. The knowledge gained is now being passed on to colleagues in regions.

The seminar program included both theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical block focused not on traditional exercises, but on the conceptual principles of Manchester City's methodology. The key idea of the club's philosophy — prioritizing player development over the result of a single match: the coach's task is to create conditions under which a child can grow and achieve high professional standards. In the practical part, coaches practiced the acquired approaches directly on the field, as well as had the opportunity to ask questions to UAF experts and receive answers.
