The selection camp for the Ukraine U-15 national team (players born in 2011 or later) concluded in Kyiv, and head coach Volodymyr Samborsky summarized its results.

"This was a selection camp that has never been seen before in the history of Ukraine's youth teams," said the coach. "We called up 33 players, three per position. The squad was divided into three teams and a mini-tournament took place. The goal of this review was to assess the level of the footballers and see how they adapt to the demands of the coaching staff. There were no practical training sessions; instead, there were theoretical sessions where we asked the players to show their best while trying to relieve them of psychological stress since many were very anxious."

We asked the boys to give it their all, although it was difficult to expect super-quality football in sparring matches given that this was just an introduction and the players came from different teams and had never worked together before.

It is important that we were able to see the footballers up close, talk with them; this is invaluable. And a big thank you to the UAF leadership for organizing such a camp which was beneficial not only because some players made a good impression and will be called up for the December training camp starting on the 13th, during which our team will participate in an international tournament.
