Today, on November 27, Donetsk's 'Shakhtar' played their fourth group stage match of the Conference League against Irish 'Shamrock Rovers.'
In the first round, Turan's charges beat Scottish Aberdeen (3:2) away, in Krakow they lost to Warsaw Legia (1:2), and in the third match they defeated Icelandic Breiðablik (2:0).
In today's first half in Dublin, Turan's players dominated with clear initiative but managed to convert their advantage into a goal only once. On the 23rd minute, Vinícius played a wall pass with Dmitro Kryskiv in the Irish penalty area, after which he crossed it to the center where Kaian Elias finished off the combination with an accurate shot.
The second half started with both teams pressing but gradually Donetsk regained control and doubled their lead on the 77th minute: Yegor Nazarina scored from a penalty kick, assisted by a ricochet off the wall. Three minutes later, the ball found its way into the net again, though the referee called it an offside.
Towards the end of the match, Irish players managed to score one goal themselves: Conor Mellí from a sharp angle beat our goalkeeper. Thus, 2:1 — victory for 'Shakhtar.'
